GoodReads also suggests that I start a discussion about my favorite authors and influences. Actually, I'd rather hear about yours... who you like and why.
My own list is short, and strictly limited to authors who are not my friends. If I started to name friends whose writing I like, the list would either be endless, or I would offend someone.
