For The L♥ve of Reading discussion

Hello,

We have been doing such a wonderful job with discussing books over various topics. This gave me the idea of expanding into other areas. I gathered a few wonderful members of this group together to help me in creating a blog for this group. Yes, we are taking For The L♥ve of Reading into the blog world!

The anticipation of finishing the blog is exciting. We are not quite done with the details yet. However, I can tell you that it will be fantastic. *We are working on getting some material for a great contest.*

Our launch date is unknown... but it will be soon.

We are looking forward to posting book reviews, information on upcoming book releases, Traveling book reviews and much much more.

Get excited for this blog! We are nearly full of giddiness and falling off our chairs wrapping up the last of our loose ends.

As soon as we get our numbers up too, we will be doing giveaways and such.

I could I post my reviews that I write for chic lit website? Of course the genre will be chic lit. I would be happy to contribute that way.

Jencey, yes we need some chic lit reviews! It seems like we have a lot of YA reviews. I would love to have you do a review!

To be honest I dont' like it but I will write an objective review.

That is too bad. I guess we have to get a unlikable book every once in awhile. Maybe that means the ten books will be great!

Beach reads are usually fun!

I think not liking a book is all part of a review. :D I always read reviews to see why people didn't like a book and why they did. So I scan through the high marks and lowest marks.

Launch Day is Upon Us!!

We think we are ready to open up the blog for the groups eyes. We poked and prodded, wrote then reworded, post and changed items around. I think the development will continue from suggestions from the group.

With that being said we will post the group blog URL tomorrow for you to come and check out what we are doing. Let us know if it is a great site or not. Follow the group blog and comment away on our posts. They are all for you.

Everyone else, we are hoping to soon start with giveaways and maybe even ARC's, but we have to increase our following. ARC is an Advance Readers Copy

Its a book the publisher gives away before the actual release of the book to promote people buying it later on. I was reading on a lot of sites about who the publishers give them to and on the blogger sites, your followers have to be high (like 200 or higher) and your stats have to be good. Active and all that...(this is for ARCs). We still plan on doing giveaways in the future.

Hmm... Whenever they are needed. We don't have a set day for announcements. We can also use Tuesdays if no one is available for a guest review.

Tuesday is a good day to announce new releases because that is the day that publishers release to the public anyway.

Next week Wednesday we will be a having a book review war. I'll be suiting up in armor, sharpening my comments, and visioning my win. My noble stead is resting, for soon we will be ride off into battle!

I'll battle for one side and Jen the Bibliophile will be battling for the other side. Which side? You will see. Which book? That is a mystery as well. All the mystic fates will allow is... it will be a YA book (the second in the series is due out shortly).

Mark your calendars in red sharpie. Don't miss out on this battle. You the jury will have to cast votes to see who will win the war.

(I'm planning on appealing if I loose!)

This should be a lot of fun!

the blog page looks great...learning to navigate and what not. I am new to the blog world lol but I am trying to figure it out....trying to get myself creative to set up my own personal blog page...it seems like fun something new for me:)

I have recently set up my personal blog. It is fun to play around with. I am still learning how it all works. The one thing I would like to know is how do you format pages? Have fun Carla playing with your personal blog. You should do it.
