Well the mind games definitely stepped up in these chapters from all sides. Everyone seems to be messing with everyone else--I think I finally got it all straight. I am warming up to Dante--I do feel like whatever he is going to remember won't be happy warm thoughts. I know Lucien is keeping it from him but I feel it is more from a protective stance than from anything else. So J is mommy dearest---not really surprised. Also, Heather ignores a direct order--also not surprised! I am really enjoying this book!

I liked Heather even more when she ignored the direct order :-)

Stephanie--I have to agree! I like the fact that she not only ignored it but called her boss on his behavior when he told her to close the case. All were signs of a fantastic character!

She's far too dedicated to this case to allow it all to fall by the wayside now. I just wonder what the repercussions on this will be!

I know because I am sure there will be fallout. Will someone try to set her up, discredit her, ect. I haven't had a chance to read the next chapters yet but I am dying to know what will happen :)

I really want to know the deal with Johanna (that spelt right?) - she kinda creeps me out and she hasn't even been mentioned that much.

O.O Johanna is a twisted bitch. And boy do I mean TWISTED.

lol, I'm kinda getting that vibe! I can't wait to find out what her back story is and how it connects with everyone else's.

So much has happened and I've just gotten half way through the book!

Lol. You don't really get backstory on her, but you find out what she did. God I would just like to get my hands on her. I swear she's worse than Jigsaw!

That is the impression that I am getting---so worse than Jigsaw? those have to be great characters to write but man you just want to make them get theirs.

Indeed!!!! Actually... I'd like to hand Johanna over to Jigsaw and see how she likes it. *evil grin*

Ya she was so bad ass when she went in the medical examiners place and was just like "the killer is left handed, these were made with the right" or something like that. I was just like HA! WAy to go Heather!

It was a great thing when she basically said screw you! I thought it was a sign she is an excellent cop!
