This a summary on how books will be selected each month. I'm not big on lots of rules, but a structure is good. :) Feel free to make suggestions on modifications ...

1. There are two books selections each month - one will run from the first of the month to the end of the month; the other will run from the 15th to the 14th.

2. The book at the beginning of each month will be voted from a selection of books nominated by members.
* Voting on the selection will begin about a week before the new month.
* The selection will alternate each month between Fantasy and Science Fiction.
* To nominate a book, please go to 'eBook Suggestions' folder.

3. The mid-month selection will be selected based on a theme.
* The theme will be voted on about a week early - around the 8th of month.
* This will be followed by book nominations and then a vote for the book.
* This will also alternate each month between Fantasy and Science Fiction.
* To nominate a book or a theme, please go to 'eBook Suggestions' folder.

4. In a vote, if no one book wins with at least 10% more of the vote than the 2nd place book, we have a run-off.

5. Authors or their agents may not nominate their own book.

6. Moderators may veto a book if they feel it does not follow the guidelines of that nomination period (like a fantasy book in a science fiction selection) or does not feel sufficiently edited or well-written.

Since we're a small group still, the polls for nominations and books will be kept to 4 or 5 options. As we grow, the number of choices can too. I was also thinking that the discussions can also be free form without a formal discussion leader - unless someone wants to lead a particular one - in that case, you're more than welcome ...
