Mock Newbery 2026 discussion

I just finished Crunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't think it's Newbery worthy, but it has a lot to say about pulling together in difficult times, family relationships, responsibility. In this time of talk about oil and our reliance on it, it is a timely story. It recalls the seventies when we did indeed have an oil crunch. Still waiting for my copy of One Crazy Summer from the library. Any day now.
