I have to keep adding comments or this will look like a dead group, and no one will want to join. I guess a 1 member group is pretty dead, but my hope is that eventually a good number of women will be here chatting.

Looking forward to chatting soon. :)
Thanks!

Thought I'd lend a little support for a fellow canadian starting a group, there's so few of them for adults.I'm Sherry and am a mom of adult children the oldest being 28 in less than a month and the youngest 17.Being a mom has been the very best thing in my life and even though they are all grown and things have changed quite a bit we're still close and connect a lot. There is still parenting involved though it only consists of advice and insight(but only when it's asked for)
We never fully out grow being our mother's child do we?
Great idea for a group,I hope it takes off for you.Have you been sending out invites? There are a lot of moms on the Ultimate Reading List that I'm sure would be interested.

I am the mom of 3 beautiful children. Our son is 10 yrs old, and we have 2 girls, 5 yrs and just turned 2!! My oldest loves reading, but usually sticks to non-fiction, our middle daughter has started reading in the past 6 months and just cannot get enough of it. It is soooo exciting to see her soaking it all up...and she isn't afraid of challenges, she wants to be able to read EVERYTHING!!! Gotta love it!
Welcome everyone, thanks for joining. I agree Sherry, it's difficult to find groups for adults. I'm actually a member of the ultimate reading list, but I didn't think to send out an invite I hate to advertise in other groups I thought it might take away from them.
Everyone please start any topic you like.

Suzanne, that's great your kids love to read, I wouldn't worry about your oldest sticking to non fiction, all long as they're reading. I won't let me daughter watch this show zoe 101, but I told her she could read the books, she was so excited when I told her that. I hope it works, she's a kid that wants tv over books, so I'm trying very hard to knock that bad habit.

I'm Rhonda, married to Dave for 20 years and we have two teenage kids. My son 18 just graduated from High School and our daughter with be 16 in July. They do keep me busy so if you think your little ones keep you busy..just wait till they become teenagers...LOL
I look forward to getting to know all of you.
Welcome Rhonda...and please don't tease I'm already dreading the teenage years and mine isn't even 8 yet.

I'm sure it won't be long until you find yourself addicted to Good Reads. It's a very common experience!

Congrats to your grad too! It's such a wonderful time and a very proud one too.

I'm guessing this thread is old but i've just recently heard of goodreads and found this group. My name is Caprice and i'm a young mommy to two boys!
