Because we all do, in one way or the other...

Write? Garden? Paint? Speak? What do you do?

You know what would be a blast? A TC art festival, either virtual or live...not juried or anything, just for fun.

i am into photography. i aspire to be a writer but mostly i am a one line cheap laugh guy and not sure how that translates into art

After being a girl scout leader for 5 years, I am probably the craft and camping queen. Do friendship bracelets and smores count?

I was an art major in college (painting and printmaking) before I switched to nursing. Sadly I haven't painted in years but I do like quilt-making. It's structured and functional yet has a lot of room for creativity.

I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. I do photography, bird houses, drawing(especially during the sermon), and some gardening with my wife.

ETA - none of it particularly well.

i write and draw, and used to paint, i also do photography, but mostly i'm a consumer of art.

Ok, I think we're underestimating ourselves. We can create.

I'm reluctant to use the word "art" to describe the arts & culture journalism that I do. There is such a strong emphasis on "who, what, when, where, why."

I try to be conscientious about the way I write, getting the facts straight and being concise, but "art" seems like too grand a word for that process. The book-length writing that I do, has more of an artistic element to it, I think, because the projects and ideas are more complex and there's inevitably something more personal about that kind of work.

The most artistic thing I've ever done? Carpentry.

For many years, while I was a struggling painter (I exhibited here in New York: I was neither successful nor unusually talented) and later when I made the switch into journalism, I made ends meet as a carpenter, doing both framing and finish work. I got to be pretty good at it, and really came to understand the craft and the materials. I actually miss it to some extent, but it's the kind of thing that's a lot easier to do physically in your twenties than in your forties...

tonight i am doing some kind of self portrait and posting it here. i challenge everyone else to do the same. any kind of self portrait you want

I make music and write stories. I dabble in photography. I can draw horses well, but then everything around them isn't quite as good.

I like to draw dragons. It's what I draw when I doodle. I wouldn't call it art. I also love to play the piano but only for my own entertainment. (I have only taken it up in the last couple of years... trying to live a childhood dream too late in life.)

Truly, art isn't something that can be judged accurately by others but only by that blissful focus you achieve while creating. At least in my opinion. So it can be anything that gets you into that right-brained, zenny kinda feel.

I'm also a jack of all trades & have been creative all my life. I loved drawing as a kid, then got into acting. Later on it was writing, both creative & technical (believe it or not, I can "zen-out" while writing a technical paper), and then went into graphic design/art. I've never made much money doing any of this except tech writing, but I'm hoping to bridge into & expand my creative writing as a career.

My next adventures in art are going to be playing guitar and belly dancing. :)

A ukulele might be the better choice - a guitar kind of obscures your belly.

i belly dance with an accordian. seems my sucky musical talents are more bearable than my sucky belly dancing so i can smoke screen em this way. the only song i know how to play is sweet home alabama. up north i am not well received but when i play south of the mason dixon at nursing homes everyone who is able stands up and salutes ol dixie which makes me feel like a rock star
