Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments Within this folder, you can create a thread for any of your favorite epic fantasy series. Series like Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, A song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, you get the idea.

Don't be afraid to add a series that nobody has heard of. I, in fact, encourage it. I'm always looking for new books.

Lori (barfield) | 49 comments Terry Brooks -- Magic Kingdom of Landover series. This series has 6 books. (so far)

1.Magic Kingdom For Sale -- SOLD! (1986)
2.The Black Unicorn (1987)
3.Wizard at Large (1988)
4.The Tangle Box (1994)
5.Witches' Brew (1995)
6.A Princess of Landover (August 18, 2009)

I say so far because i only have 4 of them. As you can see by the dates number 4 was in 94, and although i have read these 4 several times each i didn't know about the other 2 till a few weeks ago. I was looking for something else when i found them by mistake. I'm going to get them off Amazon. I love the adventures of Ben Holiday, and hope some of you will to.

Lori (barfield) | 49 comments Jason i'm a little confused. Do we start another thread for our Epic Fantasy books or do we post them here like in my second message?

message 4: by Jason (new)

Jason (darkfiction) | 3204 comments I meant for people to start their own threads, but posting them here's fine, too. Whatever you prefer. But, if you want people to discuss, then starting a new thread would probably be better.

Lori (barfield) | 49 comments OK so i'll just take my message over to a new post as well.

Stephen Goldin (stephengoldin) | 22 comments For people who want a sample before they invest in a whole new fantasy series, I'm providing an electronic excerpt from my 4-volume Arabian Nights-style Parsina Saga free of charge. The Djinn Garden is a self-contained novelette. It's available in multiple electronic formats, including PDF for those who don't own an ereader device. The books themselves are available both as paperbacks and as ebooks. I hope you'll try it and, even more, I hope you'll enjoy it. All feedback is welcome.

Bobbie Crawford My husband is a HUGE fan of all books written by Robert Jordan and George R. R. Martin. I don't really get it like he does...there is so much detail... ;-)

I have more copies of books by those authors than knowing what to do with.

Chris Perry (promethius) | 16 comments My favorite Fantasy series of all time is The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel (written by: Michael Scott).

There are 6 books in total:
1. The Alchemyst
2. The Magician
3. The Sorceress
4. The Necromancer
5. The Warlock
6. The Enchantress

This series is a crash course in world history, famous and infamous figures throughout history, and most importantly mythology from all eras and cultures thrown into one series. Is this possible? Yes, it is and Michael Scott does an awesome job of writing this series.

I have read the whole series and will look forward to discussing it with anybody. I love this series soooo much, and the only thing that comes remotely close (in my humble opinion) would be the Inheritance Cycle.

I haven't heard of this series before, Chris.

Maybe you should start a thread on it.
