Does anyone have a clue what the Menoa tree took from Eragon? The only hint we got was that Eragon got a pain in his stomach area.Ideas?

Haha, that's exactly what my friend thought! Like, she took his fertility... Yeah.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

You wouldn't believe how many websites have that!I was thinking more along the line that she took something from him to escape from the tree.*brothers considering dragging sister off computer, they think that 8 hours is enough*

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

dat would suck for him!

message 7: by britt ✨ (new)

britt ✨ (britteeebee) | 287 comments I've never really thought about it but that's kind of weird lol maybe CP will explain it better in the last book?

What else is a plausible explanation for what the tree took from him?

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

ooo again that sucks!

message 9: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (fightingfirewithfire) | 68 comments The thinkg that I first thought of was his fertility. I know that may be odd, but it seems the most likely for the amount of evidence that we have at the moment.

Somehow, I don't think the tree took his appendix or any other internal organ.

message 10: by Graziella (new)

Graziella (grazia) | 664 comments good observation emma. It does make sense.

message 11: by britt ✨ (new)

britt ✨ (britteeebee) | 287 comments That makes a lot more sense than the tree taking his "fertility". I like that idea a lot more. But why would the tree take Saphira's eldunari?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Saphira said she could feel her eldunari, she would know when hers was gone*rolls eyes*.Obviously.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

then if she could tell when her eldunari was gone why didn't she say anything? but li still like the idea.

Sarah (fightingfirewithfire) | 68 comments Patricia wrote: "Saphira said she could feel her eldunari, she would know when hers was gone*rolls eyes*.Obviously."

I think you're right. Saphira would know, most likely, if it was gone. She did say she knew it was there, that she could feel it.

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Emma wrote: "Oh wow no offense to anybody but I think it was kinda obvious what she took. You know how eragon can sometimes feel saphiras pain? Well I don't think the tree took anything from eragon; she took it..."

It's a good idea, BUT it would have been "obvious" if Saphira's Eldunari was gone. When a dragon's Eldunari is taken from its body, the Eldnuari pretty much "lives" somewhere away from the dragon's body, and the dragon feels that. Saphira would know if her Eldunari were gone, because her conscience would be there instead of in her body. And Eragon would know, either because he would feel it through her or because Saphira told him. So even though it makes sense, I don't think that's at all possible.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe the tree has something to do with Eragon leaving?

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

I agree with Alyssa. it would be obvious if that happened. Plus on more than one ocassion the book was told in point of view of Saphira.....soooooo.....

message 18: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 29, 2010 05:46PM) (new)

Don't go to inheritance forums, they have a similar thread and let's say it get's disturbing*shudders*.

message 25: by Casey (new)

Casey Well, I do.
But it is highly unlikely, and I got the idea from anime. And I haven't read the third book yet.

Wow that makes so much sense. I can't believe I didn't think of that.

message 29: by person (new)

person (iwasachild) So if the Menoa tree took Saphira's Eldunari, or if it like. . . I don't know, messed it up or something, what does this mean for the story?

message 30: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 30, 2010 11:47AM) (new)

Okay,I found proof that the Menoa tree didn't take her eldunari! When Eragon and Saphira recieved Glaedr's eldunari,Saphira said, and I quote,THE SCALES ON HER KNECK RIPPLED AS SHE MADE AN ODD,SERPANTINE MOTION WITH HER HEAD."I'VE ALWAYS BEEN AWARE OF MY HEART OF HEART'S.ALWAYS I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FEEL IT INSIDE OF ME>There, she would know if her eldunari was gone and remember a part of her conciousness travels with it so it is altogether impossible.*leans back on chair with satisfied smile*

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)
