A fantasy novelist is:

Someone who lives in a world of their own, where people can fly and trains run on time.

Sometimes hears voices in theirs heads and believe this is normal

Not only believes in dragons but will spend hours at a party explaining how they can breath fire and not get burnt.

Ho yes and can get away with the above and not be locked away and have to try and eat steak with a plastic spoon ! lol

I have tried to eat steak with a plastic spoon.....it doesn't work very well... XD

haha awesome :P and no its evil! haha I cant cut it with a plastic spoon but what they fail to see is that a plastic spoon if broken is dangerous to hehehe

me and some of my friends the other day were trying to bend spoons with our minds. I was the only successful one. XD

Why do you write? I write because its fun and in books its like the life that I want. When I write things down it always gives me ideas on how to make my life better. (: plus I always just love to entertain people whether its bending spoons with my mind or telling a funny story.

I write because it frees my soul of the burdens I'm placed under each day, I'm considered the "peace maker" of my group and am in charge of hearing everyone's sob stories then coming to a mutual agreement to get them to stop fighting. Yet during this time I am dealing with social phobia, clinical depression, Bi-polar type 2. I am supposed to make everyone better but not sure how to even begin with myself. I used to be anorexic and I used to cut and I used to do harmful things to my body to get the pain to go away, and during that time I never realized that the reason the pain was building up was because I never gave myself time in the day to write anymore. I used to dedicate an hour to writing but I just stopped doing that, and that's when my depression worsened. It helps me relieve stress and anger, whether I'm writing of love or hardships, it helps deal with it better.

Hi D2D Don't worry I'm not coming on to you I live half a planet away and happily married but if you would like to talk about things just email me. I have friends with your condition and know what you are going through, one thing I do know is that in the manic state life should be fun for you.

And thanks for the encouragement to write, I haven't been writing as much as I should, I'd love to get published one day, but just don't seem to have the attention span to stay on a story long enough to finish it, let alone rewrite it after revision. I've revised my vampire trilogy I was talking about, countless times, just haven't gotten around to rewriting it.

OK when was the last time you stood up in a shopping mall and shouted out to the whole world:

Ok, Ok nor have I, my wife already looks at me in a funny way when I talk to the fish in our pond and as to worshiping me, they do not even like me, I’m the only one that feeds them and they still hide from me.

But being a writer means you have to create a world and populate it, you control the day to day lives of all on the world, you make it as real as possible for your readers and still you have this nagging fear that someone will notice that no one ever goes to the bathroom or if they do it is only to get shot, raped or sent off to a parallel dimension where lizards are playing baseball.

So being a god is really nothing to shout about !

There used to be a detective radio series which I have forgotten the name of, a husband and wife traveling the world and arresting master criminals, the wife was called Steve and the one thing that sticks in the mind is that every time she went to powder her nose she would get kidnapped!

wow.... that really sucks for her... if i was in that series though, i'd be the kidnapped one...

Why is it sexy to have a male vampire watch a girl as she sleeps? why would a girl find this romantic it just gives me the creeps! perhaps he is on a diet and just waiting for breakfast time.

As to watching children as they sleep, well that can be normal, parents watch their children sleep all the time but it is mostly followed by giving them a poke with a finger to see if they are still alive!

If someone was watching me while i sleep i'd be scared to death...

but then again, im the girl who thinks she sees thing move when everyone else says there was nothing there. Also get weird dreams that somehow makes sense in a few weeks becuase something happened to me and even talk to herself.

And this all started after i began writing....go figure lol

To express yourself through words and write what comes to mind is amazing because the mind can muster up some exciting things.

I agree with all of you, a need to create a world that's all your own, it can feel, smell and be anything you wish.

To escape, to not have to be yourself. It's also why I read so much.

To actually have dreams that can't be crushed by real life
It's nice to be able to escape from the real world, even if it's only for a short time

I write stories to make up for what lacks in my life(mostly romance). And ever since I read Twilight I've been obsessed with vampires. Naturally I started to write romance involving mythical creatures. Now I can't stop.

There are so many stories I enjoy. Still, often my thoughts will want to take parts of the story in a different direction, or I will have ideas that will continue the story beyond the pages of a book. I write because all of those thoughts gather more and more ideas, with no where else to go.

Why write?

Basically my wife and I want to do something different with vampires and to tell a fun story. We are in the middle of the final rewrite of the book and feel good enough about it that we are starting to tell people about it.

I would say that it has been fun writing the characters and getting all the element together.

Sounds interesting. Good Luck with it. My own vampire story; "Vampire Holocaust," started its life as a screenplay for a full-length movie. Now I'm using the finished screenplay as an outline for the novel. I also took one of the scenes from the screenplay and turned it into a short story called "Final Crime." It was published in the webzine "House of Horror."

I like that, for me it's beacause my world is too mundane and I'm too cautious; my books are more exciting and my heroines get to say the things I only think in my head!

I write because it is an escape from the voices, the stories that I constantly hear.

I write because it's something I've always wanted to do, even when young. I can't imagine a life without writing.

I've released the first 2 volumes of my vampire series called Novels of The Second Coming. The first is titled Rebirth and the second is Evolve.

Hopefully, you will have a look a them. I had a blast writing them and am almost ready to release the third volume in the series.

i write because i lose myself in my imagination and watch them grow. i feel if you can have fun with this and beable to keep it constant your life can seem better. Writing is a huge passion for me. i love it! I am a earth child i see things others dont and i thrive off it! Im not normal i know that but normal people can get boring. Whats the point of loving the uniquie things we read about if you cant flourish from it??
