Tammy Young | 1 comments I read a book a long time ago, and liked it but cannot remember title, author. I honestly don't remember much about it except that the main character was probably with the police and loved to make different kinds of sandwiches. I've been on a sandwich kick lately, that's what made me think of it, it's driving me crazy. Does anyone know this book?

I think you are thinking of the Lawrence Sanders books that feature Edward Delaney, a NYC detective. Reading his books always make me want a sandwich. He always had these odd combinations of things he put on the sandwiches, but made them sound soooooo good. *L* Seems like he ate standing over the kitchen sink a lot. The Anderson Tapes and The First Deadly Sin both feature Delaney. I am not sure about the rest of his books.I think those are the only two I have read. I am glad you reminded me of this author! Happy reading.

How about Sue Grafton's Kinsey? She makes some really weird sandwiches!

Dia | 67 comments I haven't read Sue. So many on my "to read" list. Will have to check her out. *L* I remember one of Delaney's sandwiches had potato salad on it and it was running down his wrists and arms and I though that sounds so good! *L*
