Mr. Darcy's worse line to Elizabeth was that against his better judgment he was in love with her and wanted to marry her.
Of course she turned him down for implied insult in the proposal.
Here is my theme, coming of age;

Theme: telling the truth
insecurity or a lack of self esteem. because telling lies opposes telling the truth, the character would need to overcome their fatal flaw that would lead to telling lies. This could be secrecy, one the cause of which is insecurity.
theme: the only person you can trust is yourself
theme: the only person you can trust is yourself

Theme: Love thy neighbor
This explains what fatal flaws are, if you don't already know. My idea for an exercise of sorts is this: the person above you posts a theme for a story, and you respond with a character's fatal flaw and post a new theme not connected with the fatal flaw you posted. If you feel that it is necessary, explain your thoughts so we can see the connection.
For example:
Person 1 - Drugs cause a loss of control
Person 2 - the opposite of losing control is being in control. Confidence is necessary for this. Overconfidence could be a fatal flaw.
(this is actually for a story that I'm working on (: )
Okay, here's the first theme: love who you are
