RandomAnthony Green. Not the goose turd kind. Normal green. Sometimes turquoise, too. The grey of the sky right before the rain.

And if you list, like, ten of them, I'm going to taunt you. Fair warning.

message 2: by Lorena (new)

Lorena (lorenalilian) Orange!!!! I wish I looked good on it, I would have a closet full of orange dresses and shoes ...

message 3: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Cornflower. It was my favorite crayola crayon.

You just need the right shade of orange, Lorena.

My favorite color is aqua. Or any mix of blue and green that you would see in the ocean.

message 5: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) Yellow and orange. They are nice bright colors and cheer me up.

message 6: by Lori (new)

Lori Deep twilight blue, and purple. The intense greens too.

message 7: by J (new)

J I get excited about color. It's hard not to make a long list. Okay. Self-restraint. I guess pink. Light green is a close second.

message 8: by Lori (new)

Lori This thread cracks me up. When Jake was in K and the kids had show and tell, the first question would always be "what's your favorite color", even if the show and tell was only 2 colors.

I dig green. In all its green shades. Except the baby shit green, I'll pass.

Do you think that shit would sell at Home Depots Behr mixer... “Ahh you want baby shit green for your family room brilliant color choice ma'am."

message 10: by Lori (new)

Lori Ahem. Actually the first ever shit a baby makes IS green, and I mean GREEN! So strange, as it flows out it changes colors thru yellow, finally to brown.

Donna picked up on my evil plot.

Or a used and abused handkerchief. I should talk to one of the paint mixer people and see what kind of strange things people have brought in for color matching.

message 13: by Ruth (new)

Ruth I always loved orange and yellow. It looked good with my very dark brown hair. Haven't had that hair for quite a while. Now that I'm an Old Woman, I Wear Purple.

Blue's nice, too.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Black, grey, sliver...if you make me pick an ACTUAL color, green. But, that's only of you make me.

Orange bites.

message 15: by Gåry! (new)

Gåry! (garyneill) Blue. I suppose it looks like life to me, as does Green.

message 16: by Lori (new)

Lori Koe likes every version of red! What about pink? Too soft?

message 17: by Lori (new)

Lori In my family, everyone fights for the red game pieces.

Oh lordy. That's one shiny shirt there, Ko.

And hey, that's way more than ten colors, even if they are all shades of red! Where did Randomanthony go? He promised mocking if we listed that many.

Humph. Where's a moderator when you need one?

message 19: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell There was some bad purple happening in the late 70's and it put me off for quite awhile, but I've recovered now.

Is this a drug reference?

message 20: by Lori (new)

Lori Well, I'd ggrant some leniency as they are all red. Since I've named only 2, I add red myself.

Donna's purple is my pink. Wouldn't wear it for 30# years. Just say no to being a stupid girly girl. Women's lib and all. Then when Jake and I were in coop preschool, I noticed all the girls wear pink, at the young age when they are no longer getting dressed by their parents, not yet succumbing to peer pressure but at that lovely age when they wear whatever they want because they like it. I decided there was nothing wrong with pink, and realize now it's my best color.

message 21: by Lori (new)

Lori Dave, purple haze? Altho that was the 60s.

message 22: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
Well I suspect drugs were involved in the choices of the people wearing the purple clothing, so in a way I guess it is a drug reference.

*anort

I never liked pink, even when I was a little girl. I will occasionally wear it now, but I was a bit of a contrary child...

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Koe.... commie red.

Me too, actually. Vintage red. Yes.

I like to look at red, but I feel uncomfortably conspicuous wearing it.

message 25: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 46 comments Non-watered down Kool Aid purple is my favorite. I don't wear that color, but it's still the one I like the best. I detest pink. No clue why.

message 26: by Willie (new)

Willie | 57 comments I like red but I don't wear it much too racy. I dress in mostly black and my house is painted in greens, yellows, blues, and orange.

message 27: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 46 comments Red is usually my first choice in a shirt, followed by black. If you pair red with tan bottoms it mellows the raciness out, which is precisely why I don't do that.

message 28: by Inky (new)

Inky | 41 comments Burgundy -- in a glass, for a sweater, on a car. Lovely

message 29: by Hayley (new)

Hayley | 576 comments Pink, purple and certain shades of blue and green.

I think blue and green look great together - most of my eyeshadow is in these two colours but in varying shades - they compliment my blue eyes:)

message 30: by Summer (new)

Summer (summerbp) Burnt orange

message 32: by Seizure Romero (new)

Seizure Romero | 116 comments It's all about context.

I can stay in the Pacific Northwet because I've always been happy with green and grey. The shades are subtle and almost infinite. The bland grey of the cube farm? Not so much. When the clouds break towards the end of the day and sunlight angles through to tint the clouds and trees with gold? Awesome.

I'd never own a red car but Burgundy looks great in a glass-- light shining through a Zinfandel can make my mouth water. I once had a Nebbiolo that was the color of transmission fluid. It was one of the best wines I'd ever tasted & I'm reminded of it every time I check my car's fluid levels.

I'm not a fan of plain brown but I love the color of my woman's hair. From golden to copper to auburn and chestnut, her locks can pretty much get me to forget any color but brown for a while. Let's not even think about what color you get if you mix green and brown paint, but when I see those colors in her eyes I'm kinda done for. "Tan" in a catalogue is synonymous with "yawn" as far as I'm concerned-- it seems such a boring, non-committal color-- but her skin by candlelight? Yowza. Color me committed.

See? It's all about context.

Why is your heart black, King D?

message 36: by Seizure Romero (new)

Seizure Romero | 116 comments Thanks, Bunny (I once met a girl named Bunny. No, really. Her family-- the people who thought her name should be Bunny-- called her Bun. Because, you know, Bunny is such a mouthful). And Charissa, I don't know if I'd ask anyone to do that. Maybe it's just the period pieces I've seen but all those empire waistlines make the women look pregnant and that makes me giggle because so many of the movies seem to be about the sex they haven't had yet.

"You'd also have to stay out of Target or risk people coming up and asking you where the watch batteries are."

And oddly enough as I drifted off to sleep after posting that I thought the same thing!

message 44: by Hayley (new)

Hayley | 576 comments Sarah, Nick I thought I'd join you, if 8.40am over here is England.

Aqua is another of my favourite colours - I would like to think it is a colour I can pull off wearing!

message 45: by Hayley (new)

Hayley | 576 comments haha Sarah - I like to wear bright colours, they always make me feel good. Today I'm in black because I feel rubbish, my new fella just told me he's seeing someone else so its over, so I'm dressed to suit my mood.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Hmmm what color is he? Mauve?

message 47: by Lori (new)

Lori *snicker*

Mauve. I once saw Dame Edna and he had a great riff about mauve.

Oh Hayley. That sucks.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Eh, It might suck but at lest she doesn't have to. Not with him anyway.

message 49: by Hayley (new)

Hayley | 576 comments Yep, but I'm going to put on my best outfit tomorrow night and hit the town - I'll show him what he's missing.

I hate feeling in a black mood, I such a bright and cheery person as well - man can be absolute bastards at times - no offence Nick.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod

Oh none taken, I am well aware of my bastards-ness. It is one of my finer qualities. Or so I am told anyway.
