Valorie | 2218 comments Since I'm a huge challenge addict and football fan, and being as though the Pro season is almost upon us I came up with a football team themed reading challenge!

You can post as you go or all at once.
You can make changes as needed.
You can do as many or as little categories as you like.
Re-reads are ok.

Steph (angel4492) | 386 comments Yeah, Valorie, SHAME! Nah, J/K! :) Good one, Dee. How 'bout a black, red , blue and/or gold/yellow cover, setting in PA, SUPA BOWL CHAMPS! = book that's won an award??

It's late/early and my brain feels like fried green tomatoes. LOL! I'll think on it and come up with something. Nite! :)

Nikki ♥ I love football and couldn't resist this challenge :) I may not be able to complete all of them due to all of the other challenges that I am in, but I'll do as many as I can.
Great challenge Valorie!

message 17: by Laura Lulu (new)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) Steelers could also be something with fae--they do have a small issue with cold iron. :)

And how 'bout my Bears? Something with a BARE man on the cover...

message 18: by Macwolf01 [Elise] (last edited Aug 01, 2010 10:33AM) (new)

Macwolf01 [Elise] (macwolf01) | 1012 comments Valerie I LOVE THIS ONE!! ... Oh I am so in for this one, can't wait for my Steeler to kick some butt again this year ;0)

I need to pick my books but I'll also add a bonus for the STEELERS ~ a thief as main character or trying to catch a thief (if you think it should be someone working in a steel plant let me know ... the other is a bit of play on the word)

message 19: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) Valorie, I'm so happy that you went ahead and started this challenge.:) I am for sure in but unsure how many books yet.

I know that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't been on their game lately but their still my home town team and I support them no matter what. I was thinking about reading a book with pirates but we already have that for Oakland Raiders. Any suggestions?

message 20: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments the Bucs seem to be the perenial runner-up type scenario...so maybe a book that was a second choice, or a second rec...something like that

message 21: by Danielle (new)

Danielle (Smiley1881) Dee, that's so sad but true lol

message 22: by Dee (new)

:)

Steph, then you probably have the same dilemmas as we do. When the Steelers and Cowboys play at the same time, who gets the big screen? Which colors will the kids wear? :-) It's really difficult when they play each other, because one of us is going to be really upset and not speak to the other one for hours. Sad, but true!
