Sarah | 13814 comments Cribbed from an author interview I just read (question by Amber Sparks): "If you were allowed to bring three books onto the proverbial desert island, what books would you bring? And no, you can’t bring a Kindle or a Nook. No chargers on the island."

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Did any of the characters on Gilligan's Island read books--and if so, which ones? I can't think of any. I do remember they once put on a production of Hamlet set to the music of Bizet's Carmen, but I don't think they needed the original text for that.

Sarah | 13814 comments There were lots of books on the Lost island for those who rummaged through the luggage.
Sawyer read everything from Flannery O'Connor to Judy Blume depending on what he could find.

Jaimie (jaimie476) | 664 comments I can't just choose three.

Phil | 11837 comments Do I pick three that will take FOREVER to read? Or three that I could read again and again? Perhaps three that start with, "The Collected Works of...?"

Too many questions, too few answers.

How did I get on the island?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Books I'm not sure about, but duct tape can be used for just about everything.

Will have to think harder about the reading material.

Sandy Hyatt-James (sandyhyatt-james) The complete works of Shakespeare
The complete works of Arthur Miller
A hundred and one uses for a dead cat, in picture form (so that I can still have a good laugh)

ms.petra (mspetra) I would probably have to take some sort of Ultimate Survival Guide and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare
