I'd love to hear your opinion on A Great and Terrible Beauty, too. I wasn't impressed but my sister liked it and it's rare that we disagree on books!

about the chocolate war-i took a very long time reading it but i finally finished and i really liked it i would really recomend it.I wont say much to not spoil it for it so go on and read it.If your not that so convinced than go visit your local library and chech if they have it..Hope You Enjoy =]

about the great and terrible beauty- i still dont know my exact opinion since i still dont finish it,but so far is great.

I don't think I actively disliked it, but it just wasn't my style, I guess. I read a lot of fantasy novels and I tend to expect my fantasy to be dense and subtle, which Great & Terrible Beauty was not. I still think it was an okay book, especially considering that it's a YA title.

That is true.But now that I finished,now I so want to but the next one Rebel angels..I loved it you should give it another chance..

I keep intending to pick up the second one, just to see if it gets any better. I read the first one with my sister, so I'll probably read the second when she does.

I love giving book recommendations... I used to be a children's bookseller and somehow never got out of the habit. That was the best part of my job, especially when I had a parent come back and tell me that their kid devoured what I recommended. You obviously read a lot of YA material... is there anything in particular you want recommendations for? Or anything that you look for in a story like characters or world-building or historic accuracy?
