Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer discussion

So the new special edition of Eclipse that just came out has the preface and first chapter of Breaking Dawn in it.
Did anyone read it?

Here's a part:

Is she just talking about turning into a vampire or is there something else I'm missing?!

wow, i'm glad you posted that because i am not really going to buy the special edition when i already have the "original", and i haven't had time to go to the bookstore and just read the first chapter. uggh, i just hope she doesn't ruin the series by making edward go crazy and kill bella...

I hope she's talking about turning into a vampire! I'll be really really upset if after all the other stuff they've been through, Bella and Edward don't end up together.

That was a part of chapter 1? Wow she turns into a vampire quick in the 4th book if that is chapter 1. I am excited for the next book and hope it is great!

Huh? I just bought the book 2 days ago and didn't see a special edition. Then again it was a Borders Express...
The end of my copy of Eclipse had a chapter from Jacob's perspective. I'm so confused and mad!

Eclipse Special Edition

Many people have asked about Eclipse Special Edition. As we have already posted, the difference is that it will contain both the cover art and the first chapter of Breaking Dawn, both of which will be revealed for the first time when the special edition is released on May 31, 2008. While the cover art will probably be on the site soon after that, we will most likely not be given permission to post the first chapter on our site. If we are given permission, it will probably be about one week before the release date.

So it looks like the first chapter might be released soon? Sooner than the release of the book? I think I'll just go to a store and read the chapter there.

Yeah, I saw that on a newer post on her website. Apparently her website isn't even allowed to post the first chapter like they thought. Guess I'm going to have to go to the bookstore. Gotta pick up The Host and some other things anyhow. Still bummed tho.

Yeah it came out a whileeee ago... earlier in June.
But if you didn't read it, I'm pretty sure you can find it online somewhere. And Breaking Dawn is coming out in a few days anyway. Ahh way to excited! =)

Its not available online anymore. I went to a B&N this weekend and read it. It was good and a great taste of what's to come in the next and last book.

I am going to head there (B&N) this week. Since I have to wait so dang long from the library.. I don't know if I am going to be able to take the wait!

Went to B&N tonight, and of course they didn't have a single copy of the edition with the first chapter. They only had the hard cover of Eclipse. Too bad for me, :(

Is that the first part of chapter one? I already read it and unfortunately, that's not the first part. As far as I can remember, a group of blokes approached her because of her new car - the first installment of Edward's gift. I know it was something like that.

I think that's not the chapter one. The eclipse I bought doesn't have any preface or chapter one of breaking dawn in it. Maybe she's talking about Renesmee, her half-human half-vampire daughter...who's unbelievably strong and growing fast because of that fact. Just continue reading though, I don't want to be a spoiler or something that would make the story not exciting as it is... :]

Oh so now I understand, it was the special edition of Eclipse. Oh well, I guess I would've to agree with Nicole. I'll just go to a bookstore and read the chapter there.

Hello I am Olivia. I am a huge Twilight fan. I know I am a little late to the party but I am so excited that I found a Twilight fan club. Please comment your favorite scene from the book that was in the movie. My favorite was the scene was when Bella met Edwards family. Edwards reaction to Alice and Jasper meeting Bella.

I heard a few of you talking about Edwards perspective on Twilight and I wanted to tell you that you can find it on Amazon for around 7-8 dollars.
