I put some ideas up for different realm/universe in the first post. A lot of people get confused over what constitutes a different realm or universe. Just because vampires or other paranormal creatures exist in our world in a book, that doesn't count. Also, it can't be something that could be a possible future for our world (IE - Kate Daniels). It has to be something where the world is completely different. Eragon and Lord of the Rings are the two that you'll probably be the most familiar with. They're completely different worlds, not England with a magical place called Hogworts that is hidden from a lot of humans.
Hopefully this will help.

Starzee, let me know if Born of the Night is good. It looks interesting.

Reading it now, about two thirds of the way in and so far I love it. I'll let you know my overall opinion when I finish the book :D

Yes, but I can't remember the name of it.

all have ghosts in them. The Frost book is the only one that I would say you have to read the other books first (and has the least ghosts). All the other ones are the first in a series, standalones, or able to be read without needing any background information.

Summoning. Forgot about that one. There's also one of the Women of the Otherworld books by Armstrong. One of them is about a medium.
I remember one where there was a kid that could see ghosts. I think it was something by Eileen Wilks. I'm not possitive though. The kid wasn't the main character or anything, but she helped solve the case the adults were working on. I wish I could remember what book that was.
There's also . She has a ghost that lives in her car.
