1. "No Doubt About It" by Sheri Dew -- good, but not
captivating, like when she speaks.
2. "Inner Victory" by David A. Christiansen -- great,
but really meant to be an interactive immersion
(like Stephen Covey's Seven Habits)and I'm only
reading it and thinking about it, instead of
"doing" it, so I'm missing out on it's full
benefits.
3. "The Inheritance" by Louisa May Alcott -- which is
fun (or should I say funny). It is the first book
she ever wrote (at the age of 17)and was never
meant to be published. It is melodramatic and
overly descriptive, (like a talented 17 year old
who is trying much too hard:)but with that in mind
as an interesting curiosity, I'm enjoying the
swooning and the fair faced virtuous women and the
gallant and overly perfect men who heroically come
to their emotional rescue:)It's meant to be
poignantly dramatic, but it just makes me smile.

I'm currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo. It's been long; I've been reading off and on since November. I'm trying to push through and finish it.

wonderful comment in 1925/6 about deforestation of the rain forest - very perceptive man for his time

I really liked Alcott's you mentioned, but tried to read it a 2nd time and could not do it.

North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell - deliciously clean, complete with the delightfully gentlemanly (or just "manly", as he might prefer to be called) John Thornton.

I love this series also and other books written by this author.

Currently in the middle of "The Giving Quilt" Jennifer Chiaverini. This is a series about a company that holds quilting camps. Very clean reading.

I just started "A Rose Blooms Twice" Vikki Kestell. It is free on Amazon through the 19th of Feb. I have not gone far enough to give a review but knowing the author it will be clean.

I know they're kids books, but I love them. <3"
I've read that & really enjoyed it, too. For all those who don't know...That's the fifth book of a Great Series!!

I believe it would be impossible to depict that particular time in Cambodia's history without including the violence. To do so would be disingenuous.
