My little brothers computer is throwing a fit.

When starting it, you can't just press the on button, it just goes straight to standby mode. If you hold the button and wait for the screen to come on, it normally starts.

However, now it won't start. It makes the attempt but then turns itself off and the screen never lights up...

Trying to get in contact with a computer consultant but they aren't answering their phones.... Anyone got any ideas about what is wrong with this computer?

Hmmm... Sorry, this is one of the few things I don't understand about computers, so my suggestion is get a new computer.

Dad managed to fix it! Though I suspect it had something to do with banging it til it worked... >.>;

We're looking at getting a new one for him but might have to wait a while.
