I LOVED LOVE LOVED "The Winter Sea" by
SUSANNA KEARSLEY. It is a book that vacilates betwix and between then (the past) and now. It is a love story by h so well done. I want to be able to read another book by this uber talented author NOW!

I have also loved "The Forever Queen" bu Holly Hollick, The Passionate Brood" by Mary Campbell Barnes and I am within pages of finishing Susan Higgenbotham's new book "the Queen of Lost Hopes"- another winner for Ms. Higginbotham. The story of Marguerite of Anjou is an amazing one. he next book ready for me to devour is Vanora Bennett's new bppk " The People's Queen". This is the news blurb from her website "...My latest novel, which deals with Chaucer's love life, a royal mistress turned businesswoman-on-the-make, and a fourteenth-century credit crunch, has a lot in common with our own times seven centuries later. I wrote it against a modern backdrop of global economic downturn, cutbacks, and crisis which, give or take computers and banks, were pretty much what Chaucer, then the King's man in the merchant City of London, had to contend with as he counted sacks of wool and tried to make sure the King's coffers were full despite the worsening economic gloom of the times..." I ordered it from Britain and and have been waiting to savor it. Yes. I really like her work. Also I should mention that I hav3 been able to read a lot since I cannot move much. I had a triple lumbar fusion two weeks ago this coming Tuesday. The first week was pure, unadulterated agony but this week I am, at least able to focus to read and can move from bed to chair. Baby steps of progress. I have a LONG list of reviews to post that are are on a dead line time sensitive schedule so by tomorrow I hope to swing into action ..slowly by I have to make to progress for these publishers who are counting on me. It has been an amazing reading streak and the "The Winter Sea" was one of the most unexpected, well written, magical books I Have read in a long time. And to think that I originally thought if it as second string!.....Read it I better get of my soap box now or you'll be banning me !
