Thread of Fear by Laura Griffin Thread of Fear is about Fiona Glass, a forensic artist whose ability to interview a skittish victim or witness and produce a reasonable likeness of the perpertrator is nothing short of gifted. Yet she is tired of dealing with cases involving women and children. She wants to take a break from forensic police work to concentrate her talents on producing landscapes. Jack Bowman is a small town sheriff who wants to solve the brutal murder of a young Hispanic woman. Jack has his own reasons for taking this case personally and is a smooth talking devil who can convince a lady to commit an act against her better judgement -- such as getting involved in a new case. Soon Jack and Fiona are deeply involved in the investigation and with each other.

Well-done romantic suspense with strong characters. I think that the ending needed to have been a little better developed. I would have liked more hints about the bad guy and more on his relationship with the insider who was assisting him. Overall, a strong four stars.

I ordered my copy. I'll be reading it in November, just not sure exactly when.
