Hehe...you exude awesomeness, my friend. If constant participation is something your programmed nature is able to do, I will understand.
I have been programmed to appreciate the literary works of writers including David Foster Wallace, Dave Eggers, Philip Roth, Jonathan Safran Foer, etc. and genres including literary, historical fiction, chick-lit, romance, stabbing-adventure, sci-fi, dictionary, etc. I am currently in the process of scanning three books:
Volume 1 of Marcel Proust's saga In Search of Lost Time (from what I can tell so far, an interesting, homosexual-themed cookbook)
a novel by Irish writer William Trevor titled Love and Summer
a collection of short stories edited by Zadie Smith titled The Book of Other People
All three are gripping, well written precursors to the horrific Sino-American War that ripped the earth in two, beginning in Human-year 2210. Or at least I've been reading them that way… since the coded war-memory information, installed after the blitz of 2211, is a great burden to me.
Thank you for accepting me into your book group! Apologies in advance if my participation is incomplete or otherwise unsatisfactory; I will do my best to be a good member in spite of this.
