I have went back to BDB series, I kind of jumped the brothers I wasn't interested in reading (Butch..sorry) Now I'm reading Lover Unbound!

M (dolly_loves_disco) | 22 comments lols. that series is on my BTR list... looks v good & v naughty too! I'm currently reading Cry Wolfby Patricia Briggs... is just getting going & the relationship between Anna & Charles seems quite intense already so should be promising. M x x

How is the romance in it??

message 5: by M (new)

M (dolly_loves_disco) | 22 comments Sorry for the delay in getting back to you hun - been very busy with work & stuck into the Lauren Kate series! it's v good :) she is doing a Q&A and book signing on thursday at a book store near me so wanted to get them read in time! Worth adding to BTR list but more romantic atm than naughty ;)
Cry Wolfis good - the romance is kind of awkward between the two characters but it fits their story well. I think when they get fully used to eachother is going to be fierce :) Is one of those slow burning books but I do like it alot. Charles is one of those strong, silent, brooding types *sigh* lols
What are you reading at the mo? x x

Hey well currently I am reading nothing!! My Iphone (what I read all my books on) has crashed and I have to get a replacement!! So not reading right now which is really hurting me lol! But I think I will read either of the books you suggested, or continue on my quest of the whole IAD series!

Lol Let me know if you come across any other goodies!!

Thanx

message 10: by M (new)

M (dolly_loves_disco) | 22 comments girls...which series shall i start next? black dagger brotherhood, the immortals or the demonica? just can't make up my mind! M x x

message 11: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sophie714) | 21 comments well i finished BDB not too long ago... I absolutely LOVED it!!
Am reading the Demonica series atm. It's pretty good as well...
I say choose one of those two (cos havent started on the immortals yet) - and then discussions can be had! :P

message 12: by Sonya (new)

Sonya | 109 comments Mod
Agreed I would definatly start either BDB or Demonica! I enjoyed both sooo much!!
Immortals I find has its good ones...
Choose whatever appeals to you the most!! Lol

-Sophie!
I do love BDB, I'm just not drawn to Butch's story! Lol... I think it's b/c he's human (I'll say no more), and described as some what ugly in the books. And there are a few other reasons, but I wont bash him, I'm sure he's great!lol
What were your thoughts on Butch? Did you enjoy his story?

message 13: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (sophie714) | 21 comments That's interesting as another friend of Goodreads said the same thing about being put off Butch's story because he was human...

I have to say that that didnt really faze me, I was just loving the series and wanted to keep going to find out what happened next etc etc... I wasnt too sure how Butch's story would pann out but I found it quite enjoyable... And it is necessary to read his story to follow the events in the following books (won't say specifics as don't want to ruin it for anyone)...

It's funny that u mention him being ugly. I tend to read character descriptions and take most of it on board but then just shape them in my mind as to how I want them to look... so in my mind Butch is still a little worse for wear etc like he's described but for me he carries those flaws in an attractive, purely masculine way... hope that makes sense! hehe

Who was ur fave in the series? I find it so hard to decide!!

message 14: by M (new)

M (dolly_loves_disco) | 22 comments went for BDB! :) and so excited... i picked up the whole BDB series (plus covet from the fallen angels series) on ebay this afternoon for £25 inc P&P! yaay! looking forward to having a good ol' natter about it :) M x x

message 20: by Pearl Reads (new)

Pearl Reads (pearl24) I'm currently reading. Mona Lisa Awakening (Monère Children of the Moon, #1) by Sunny and will soon start the second book Mona Lisa Blossoming (Monère Children of the Moon, #3) by Sunny . I'm really loving this series already. Great if you like all the hot steamy stuff mixed with great action.

As for the BDB readers. Oh you just can not go wrong. Butch's story was actually good to me. Phury's was a little slow but I still read them. Each book just gets better and better and later books (the last 3 books so far) just keep growing in intensity. WOW! I'm dieing for the next to be out already. I'm have BDB withdraws. Lol

Federation Cronicles by LAuren Dane is pretty good. She also has another series Cascadia Wolves the first one I was not a fan of the writting but loved the characters. The series gets better and I ended up really liking it and then that series goes into another series the de la Cega Cats which I loved. Hot men and some smokin hot sex scenes.
Worth the read.

I loved it! It definatley has some dark parts to the story and the hero was SUPER BAD, MEAN, HOT, SEXY, DANGEROUS!
Both the main Characters also have had a tormented past!
It's not paranormal. But has just a different story line!

I enjoyed it!

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I have very similar tastes to you, and I really liked G.A. Aiken's Dragon Kin series. They're light fantasy, but very sexy, irreverent, and fun! (G.A. Aiken is actually Shelly Laurenston- it's a different pen name.) Also, have you tried Sydney Croft? That's a writing duo that's half Larissa Ione.

Sydney Croft books are my absolute favorite!!! They are very X-Men like and extremely sexy. A lot like Kresley Cole in a way.

And of course, I have to plug my own books! :) The books are Mere Temptation, Mere Passion, and Shark Bait. They're about mermaids, sea dragons, and shark shifters (with the odd vampire.) The first two are available on Amazon for kindle. The third (Shark Bait) is on the publisher's site for now, but can be downloaded to Kindle.

Hope this is helpful!

message 49: by Amber (new)
