Stacey What are your new additions to that TBR pile?

I just bought The False Friend by Myla Goldberg. The cover drew me in and the book looks good, too!

Gretchen (gkonkler5) I have A Man In Full by Tom Wolfe in route to me from PBS. Was a suggestion in the back of As God Commands and loved it so much hoping this will be a winner too.

I just bought The Kitchen House for my Kindle. I'm hoping to get to it within the next week or so.

I've bought a few for my new kindle and I'm REALLY going to have to be careful - it's just to easy to purchase a book and download it. I've got The Kitchen House, Fall of Giants, The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake and I just finished reading The Girl Who Chased the Moon.

Sara (rstjm4) | 70 comments I would love a kindle, but I love the smell of books so I will probably not get one for a while!! I love to feel them in my hands etc...

I picked up Rich Boy yesterday from the library, I rarely buy books anymore just bc of money...I can get them from the library for free!

Mary | 236 comments Sara, be sure to post what you think of RICH BOY after you finish it. It sounds interesting and is getting pretty good reviews. I've looked at it several times in the bookstore.

Gretchen (gkonkler5) Tryin to get use to this thread format. So hope it's still the current one because I'm coming into it from my email. Haven't looked at the board yet from the "opening" page or whatever you call it.

ANYWAY!!

I just downloaded Rooom by Emma Donohue to my MP3 player. If i don't feel to crushed at work will start listening to it tomorrow.

Stacey I've been buying too many books. I started working again so naturally I have less time to read. I guess I feel entitled, lol. I can't help myself I live too close to the best bookstore ever.

Besides Room, I have:
Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea
The Recipe Club by Andrea Isreal and Nancy Garfinkle (this is a bookclub read and we'll each make a dish and bring to the discussion)
The Lotus Eaters by Tatjana Soli

*sigh*

Tina (lancejrmommy) | 59 comments I downloaded Kitchen House to my Nook but I've yet to use the Nook.
My husband bought it for me as a gift and I am having a hard time staying away from the library! So I always have a ton of books to read and never open the Nook

Stacey I have The Kitchen House in my stack to read in Dec. It looks great!

message 12: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen (gkonkler5) Think I'm gonna download Moonlight Mile by Dennis LeHane and Unbearable Lightness by Portia De Rossi to my eReader.

message 13: by Theresa (new)

Theresa I have been absolutely sucked into Adam Ross's novel, "Mr. Peanut." It's making me ignore work I should be doing.
