Scott Tulloch | 1 comments I am egerally awaiting the release of the new video game "Too Human" which is the first in a trilogy centered in Norse Mythology. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions on fictional works of Norse Mythology for me to read. I want to explore the characters more, get a feel for there pasts and history. I would appreciate the suggestions.

The best sources for Norse Mythology are the Poetic Edda (there is a translation by Carolyne Larrington that is pretty good) and Prose Edda, or just Edda (the translation by Anthony Faulkes is the best)-- read the introductions to get a handle on the documents, then the rest of the books are translations of the Eddas, our best sources for Norse Mythology. John Lindow's Handbook of Norse Mythology is also good.

If you liked Too Human, you might be interested in reading Stephen Donaldson's Gap Series, an excellent adaption of the saga of the Volsungs into a space opera.
