Who was the hero that stood out the most out of all your reading for October (he doesn't have to be a dangerous hero)?

Jennifer (jenlopez1283) | 84 comments I really liked Jacob in Water for Elephants for always standing for what he believed was right. There were all sorts of twisted people around him yet he managed to stay true to himself.

Quinn from Knock Me Off My Feet by Susan Donovan. Why? The man is down to earth and funny. He's Irish. I still think it's funny to see a man in a skirt.

Quinn is a tough cop.

Ally | 75 comments William from Bayou Moon I really loved him and the book!

Carolyn F. I just squeaked it in for October but Caleb in Caleb (Shadow Wranglers, #1) by Sarah McCarty was wonderful. I also thought Joe Morelli from One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich sounded great - reformed bad boy.

My October vote goes to Jax Cullin from Jill Shalvis' Simply Irresistible (A Lucky Harbor Novel, #1) by Jill Shalvis .

He was tall, dark, sexy and well, simply irresistible.

I thnk my hero of October is Will Henry from The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist, #1) by Rick Yancey . He was a fantastic hero--brave, caring, intelligent, honorable, steadfast.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Styx is simply droolworthy.
Styx's Storm (Breeds, #22) by Lora Leigh

I wouldn't say Morelli reformed. He may work on the side of the law, but he's still a bad boy.

I'm only up to book #3, and he seemed pretty remorseful. I hope he doesn't break Stephanie's heart!

Just keep in mind that this series is not a romance series and you will probably enjoy it more. I've read all sixteen plus the "between the numbers" and the Nascar ones including the graphic novel.

Carolyn F. Thanks Mollie!

message 13: by Akaria (new)

Akaria Gale | 59 comments October was a tie between Sam from Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs and Lucien from The Darkest Kiss (Lords of the Underworld, #2) by Gena Showalter . Sam's not quite the dangerous hero, but there's something very sweet, comforting and nurturing about him. Lucien is textbook DH. Lonely, scarred, cursed he's got it all. Loved seeing him find his HEA.

Oh, I just adore Lucien! I do have a huge soft spot for Samuel as well. :)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 54 comments I've met some yummy heroes in my reading for the month of October.

Heading the list is Carpathian Dragonseeker, Dominic from Dark Peril (Carpathians, #21) by Christine Feehan . I love the shift in Feehan's writing when it comes to the dynamic between her hero and heroine that she started in Dark Slayer.

Next in line is Simon Hunt from Secrets of a Summer Night (Wallflowers, #1) by Lisa Kleypas . You have to admire a hero who can continue to care for the heroine no matter how many times he got rejected before things change into his favor.

From Cole's Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark, #10) by Kresley Cole comes another unique hero, Malkom. He might be uncouth and brutal, but he is truly a diamond in the rough. You have to love a hero who will bite off his claws so he won't hurt the heroine when he touches her.

And last, I got to hang with the always sexy Roarke in Midnight in Death (In Death, #7.5) by J.D. Robb .

It's my second Lisa Kleypas book, and now I see the fuss about her. I'm eager to read the next book in the series.

Oh, Yz, you have a way with words. I am so regretting being behind on the Carpathian and IAD series. I find Simon Hunt utterly sexy and delicious! He's my second favorite LK hero, after St. Vincent. :)

message 19: by Othena (new)

Othena Mencheres from Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost because his love was geniune and the depth of the sacrifice he was willing to make for the heroine.

I picked upCalebalong with Jaredon my last book binge so I'm glad he's a worthy hero.
