I am reading a kind of biography written by Marion Countess Doenhoff.

It is not a typical/classical biography. She writes about different episodes about her childhood in East Prussia. This part of now Poland, belonged to the German Reich up to the end of WWII.

Anna (aetm) | 45 comments Amo Montalbano / I love Montalbano :)
However those should be read in original (if possible) as they are written in dialect which just can't be translated to English or other languages. I recall reading The Shape of Water in English (as it was easier to find a copy in English in Ireland) and well, still enjoyable, but I miss my dialect. So when I found a few Montalbanos in original I couldn't resist but had to buy a few. (Which will also serve as my comfy reading escape to where I'd want to be)

Now I am in Hamburg 1768... another book of a series of Petra Oelker.
I like her books, a mixture of historical facts and a good story.

Anna (aetm) | 45 comments It's a good one, Hayes. Doesn't hit the super top of my list (where Ludlum, Connelly, Camilleri and a few others are) but close enough to there. Hm - perhaps I should consider making that a ray or ring and see if it would have success?
