Today I was writing the last chapter for The Morte, and while I was writing I was listening to David Archuleta (American Idol) singing Smoky Mountain Memories. I had just written the word "insane," and the weird thing is, just as I wrote the word, David sang it in his song!!

Did something like that every happen to you?

Laina (laineyru) hehe... I do that all the time! Usually I tend to type (unintentionally) what the song is saying.

Yeah...but this time, I meant to type insane according to me story, and the song said it at the same time. It was so weird!

Laina (laineyru) i guess it was one of those moments when you knew you were supposed to be doing what you were doing. When you felt some invisible force smiling down on you and several thigns seemed to collide all at once, making you feel an almost alien sensation. Is that about right?

Xerxes Break(Vivian Ephona) (ephona) Happens more when I'm reading like in Warriors when the Four Trees was being destroyed...the perfect Enya song that ended exactly when it stopped!

Laina- it's more of a funny "coincidence" kind of feeling...

Haha Ephona...

message 7: by Laina (new)

Laina (laineyru) oh hahaha... sorry for going off like that then. :) I tend to be elaborate...

GW Pickle (gwpickle) | 17 comments Well, I can't listen to music when I write. When I was writing SENTI every time I had music playing, I just couldn't write a word.

Haha, it happened again, just now! I finished my story The Morte, and just as I finished it, the song I was listening to (David Archuleta singing Imagine) ended. Wow.

Tate | 106 comments Yeah, it doesn't normally happen when I write, but then there are songs that start to play when I am reading that fit just about perfectly in with what I am reading, and then I feel all amazed and happy! Yay! Wahoo! ^.^

No, don't worry. I'm working very hard to refrain myself. As long as Rachel doesn't come here and lose control, we're fine. XD

Yeah, sometimes I'm reading back through my story, and I'm listening to the song at the same time, so i happen to read the same word at the same time.

adi (restartaugust) | 125 comments Never happened to me :)
I do tend to go with the mood of the song though.
And sometimes I unconsciously start writing the character's dialogue in lyrics, ahaha.

lol. That's never happened to me before. Maybe it's because I don't usually listen to music while writing.

neither do i.

message 22: by Lela (new)

Lela | 128 comments I listen to music but I usually tone it out mostly. It's just to keep from hearing silence in an empty house...which can be creepy. But I've got a CD of rain and thunder, etc. and I've started writing dramatic scenes with lots of rain and then noticed what I was listening too, I was forced to laugh about that, it was funny!

Haha, that's funny! Sometimes I listen to music while writing, sometimes I don't...it usually depends on my mood. Sometimes it helps me, other times it annoys and distracts me. XD

Veronica (v_a_b) | 2889 comments Mod
yeah, same with me, but it usually distracts, so I don't really listen to music while I'm writing.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I do this all the time. One of the songs I listen to, while, Writing, is "GHOST TOWN" by: Jason And The Scorchers.

Free Fall Faith (freefallfaith) | 4 comments Until joined here, I thought that I was the only one who listened to music while writing. My brothers thought I was insane that I listened to music while writing and reading, it's actually a really big relief to know I'm not the only one. I don't have a specific song that I listen to while writing though. But I really enjoy listening to Symphonic Rock while writing.
