Jennifer (jml_417) Post your nominations for our January 2011 group read here!

Nominations will be open until November 30, and then we'll post a poll for voting in early December.

Please remember to nominate books that are not new releases and that are available in paperback.

Jennifer (jml_417) I'm going to nominate Blindness by José Saramago and The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

Does anyone have a list of the group reads from FL on iVillage? Or should we just start with a blank slate? I don't mind re-reads.

Stacey I don't have a list, but I could tell you off the top of my head when I see a title if we read it! I remember reading Blindness and discussing it, but it wasn't a group read and neither was Shadow of the Wind.

Let's just start with a blank slate :)

Blindness is one of the rare books that I liked the movie more than the book.

Jennifer (jml_417) Any more nominations? Today is the last day and I'll post a poll tomorrow morning.

I'm sorry. If the poll isn't completed, how about Fools Crow by James Welch.

Laurel (laureljean) A couple others if there's time and you need more to choose from:

The Women's Room by Marilyn French (a classic)

The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers

Jennifer (jml_417) Sorry I'm late with this - I'm closing nominations now and will post a poll soon.
