This is what I have planned to read so far: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...
Not quite 52 yet, but I'll decide what to read next after some time =D

I'd like to ask, how can I add a new shelf?
To add a new shelf, all you have to do is 'edit shelves', and then type a new name and press enter. It will automatically create the shelf for you.

It still needs lots of work but I can't seem to decide what to put in it.
Any reccomendations?
Najd, you're free to start a thread asking about that. A lot of people seem to need it as well and you could exchange recommendations!

Hopefully I'll have the list done by the end of the month =)

^ ^
This is my list
it still needs more but I'll get to it with time

I was very proud this year because I was expecting to read only twelve, and have read fifteen so far. So for me, twenty will be an even bigger achievement. And if I read more, I wouldn't mind :).
I hope I still get to join.
Seleucid,
Welcome! This group is really for people who are planning to read 52 books even if they eventually don't. I, myself, never even read close to 52 books in a year. I do trust I can do it though and so do a lot of people! However, everyone is more than welcome here for support and motivation. :D
Good luck!

Should I unsubscribe then?
I would love to come back in a year and see how many actually did it. But be careful not to rush good books in the process :)
No, you should not! :D
We are proud to have another intellectual reader here!
You don't have to come back in a year, you get to witness it. And of course. :D

Cheers !

here's mine so far: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...-
will probably not complete it soon.. i'll be adding books through 2011, and maybe removing others.
Miss Meanovic,
It's my pleasure, believe me!
Alanoud,
I covered that question in the blog. it doesn't matter if the book is 60 pages or a billion pages, a book is a book. However you can balance it out by reading a 100-page book with that 600-page book in two weeks, taking a couple of days for the short book and longer for the thick book.
You're welcome! :D

here is my unfinished list of 52 books I am planning on reading in 52 weeks in 2011 ... I found 37 so far, hope to complete my list soon... http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...

Just started putting my list together, here it is. http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...
It's a work in progress some stuff might never be read and some new, unexpected stuff is bound to be added. I'm looking forward to an interesting year of reading

I don't get many ARC books but wanted to know if I get any more in the coming year if I can count them as part of this challenge when I read them???

I only switched a few from my to-read to my 52 books but among them are
Gods in Alabama
Wicked
House of Sand and Fog
Home: A Memoir - Julie Andrews
Mostly books I have been meaning to read but haven't gotten around to it yet, this is a great challenge to push me to read all the books I own but haven't read yet! Thanks for letting me join!

I made a whole big list when I first started out this year, even making the effort to assign each book a card from a deck that I could shuffle and then pick out at random to decide what to read next. I've already gone off it though, I'll probably still use it if I'm REALLY indecisive but for now I'm in "whatever the hell I feel like" mode.

The card shuffling thing is a really good idea! If I'm not in the middle of series or something I'm always so indecisive about what to read next, I may have to try that! :)
So you guys, what's on your lists for the 52 Books challenge?
