Kristi (kristicasey) I've read the threads that have e-readers discussed in them, but I'm kinda looking for specific answers. If everyone wouldn't mind giving me your answers, I would appreciate it.

Which E-reader do you think is the best? I don't care about color.

I'm looking for:
ease of reading screen?
well lit screen?
amount of books available?
best prices for books available?
number of free books available?
ease of holding/most comfortable?

All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Stephanie Tuell (booksloveme) I have the nook wifi. There is no backlight but the new color has one. I like the nook because you can books from friends and barnes and noble give you a free book every Friday.

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) Stephanie, like what kind of books does B&N give? I don't have an e-reader, but I've been eyeing the Nook.

Dero I have a Kindle and have only had it for a month and already have 60 books loaded. Amazon has a large inventory of books and have a large base of free books but theirs is not the best price for books. Mine is a 6" screen and I love it. I have arthritis in my hands so this has been a godsend. I can read in almost any position and turn pages with any finger so I can pick the one that hurts least when I need to.

Kristi (kristicasey) Thanks everyone for the comments. I did make a decision and placed it on my Christmas list. So, it's not patiently (I'm impatiently) waiting for tomorrow morning.

Love the free ones! I've gotten close to 100 by now. All free.

Kristen (ru44) I have a Nook and I love, love, love it! I have nothing to compare it to since I haven't tried any other reader, but I have hear that the Kindle is also great and is a lot less expensive! I love to read at night without disturbing my husband with a book light - it has a long battery life and there are lots of great deals on books at B & N. A lot of the classics are free.

Kristi (kristicasey) I've heard the Nook is great for bed reading. Bc of the light. And free is great no matter what reader you use! Right?

I'm an outdoor reader though, especially having 3 kids with a pool. We spend a lot of our summer days outdoors and poolside. It's nicer for me to not have the light/glare.
