Sweeping Sagas discussion

FYI, I put in a request to the library for info on Fletcher. No quick answer, they've just said it's been sent to the research department and will take a few days. I'll let you know what, if anything, they come up with.

Phhhht, no luck for them. No biographical info anywhere on Fletcher.

Isn't that interesting? Nuthin', huh? I think this is the first time I've ever run into this....

I don't recall it happening before either. Normally you can find something out about an author somewhere.

Anyone up for the next book in the series in January? Or have we given up on Fletcher, whoever he was? :)

I have the next book in the series out from the library on ILL, so will be looking to read it in the next few weeks.

I planned on reading them eventually but I've got a lot in the fire right now. Southern Cross should be showing up some time this week.

I'm in on Southern Cross, too, whenever you all want.

The writing style of book one and book two seemed different to me, so maybe three will be better? If it ends up being like the second one it may hit the wall before I finish but I'm willing to give it a try.

My copy of SC just landed. Have a quick book to finish up, probably Friday and then I'm in.

ETA, my copy is a harback from Viking Press. There was a fairly extensive jacket blurb and I've put it up on that book's info page for those interested.
