Manda, have you read What the Librarian Did? I never got hold of a copy but keep hearing such good things about KB's work.
I've got the Brava anthology Lords of Passion on my nightstand--novellas from Virginia Henley, Kate Pearce, and former BBer Maggie Robinson. Looking forward to reading some tonight. Maggie's novella especially has been getting great reviews!

I have. It was the first by her that I read and I loved it. To be honest, it's still my favorite though I've read several books by her at this point. There's just nothing to match the intensity of first love;)

I am finishing Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost(reading it a 2nd time, I do like Vlad :D) and then I'll read Wicked Nights With a Lover by (i like the cover a lot).Sophie Jordan

I just started J.R. Ward's Crave.

Nope... And I can't say that I want to... Not of fan of swearing really.
Susan Sophie Jordan's books aren't exceptional, but I liked them... They are good for an in between read.

I wasn't eager to start that series and I've heard others say the same thing, Alinutza.
I'm starting on Shadowed Summer by Saundra Mitchell

I agree that Sophie Jordan can be middling at times, but she occasionally provides a flash of brilliance that keeps me reading her stories.
On Crave, yes, there is swearing but she seems to have toned it down somewhat. There are also 2 archangels in a homosexual relationship that I found creepy. The central story is stronger than Covet, so I will keep reading to the end.
Hi, all! I'm out of the deadlne dungeon and back to a more reasonable schedule, so I'll be posting more often.
I'm with Manda on Karina Bliss. I haven't read the new one yet, but I have glommed most of her backlist now. There's not a bad book in the bunch, but What the Librarian Did is my favorite. Thanks for recommending it, Manda.

I won't read it ever! It's not that I have smth with homosexual people(I am at the dentistry faculty and this semester we're having genetics, so really, I understand) but not in MY reading material, I like my men hot and heterosexual, thank you very much!
I am {finally} continuing the Hathaways series and I am loving it... Harry Rutledge I would so like to kidnap you *dreamy*

One of the most romantic characters ever, in my mind, is the secondary character in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, a gay man who is in love withe straight hero. There is a moment where he writes a letter to the hero as part of his regular nightly ritual (or anyway something he does regularly) and then burns it that is really amazing.
In general, actually, that's how I feel about her writing...amazing moments surrounded by a lot of text that should have been seriously edited down...

Just finished Patricia McKillips The Bards of Bone Plain (its fantasy, not romance). Some beautifully written passages in it--and somewhat easier to follow than some of her books. I also read Meg Benjamin's Brand New Me. I felt it wasn't really up to the level of her previous Konigsberg books--but still a fun read.

I LOVE Joanna Bourne. You have some great books ahead of uou and Adrians story is in the works.
Currently reading Troubled Waters by Sharon Shinn . A great start to the book.

You are so right on both accounts, the fantasies thing and about LK. BTW I just finished the series and I absolutely adore it! In Beatrix's book I cried half the time and the other half I was laughing my a** of.

Read His Darkest Embrace by Juliana Stone. So disappointed, I loved the first book but this one just fell so flat....don't buy the love story at all. That said...I am still looking forward to the third book.

While I was waiting to get my laptop back I also read Karina Bliss's new one, Here Comes the Groom. It was, as I am coming to expect from KB, funny, sexy and moving. She blends LOL moments with tear-inducing really, really well.
