Fantasy Book Club discussion

I was pondering the other day whether there might be more to stormlight than what we've been told so far. Seems to me that there just might be more applications for it than what we know. What do you think?

I think that the storms are going to be a big factor as well. When Kaladin was strung up and forced to stay out in the storm, we found out that there's a lot more going on during the storm than just infusing stones with stormlight. What do you think of the person-like being that appeared right before the infusing of the stones? It seemed like this was what was actually giving them the Stormlight. It also seems like Stormlight is in everything and in a way gives life/power to everything. The people just don't know how to use it - or forgot how to use it. There was a definite connection between Kaladin's use of stormlight and Syl. Maybe there are different uses of it based on the different spren?

I think the stormlight and the spren are definitely connected. Doesn't the book specifically mention storm spren?

Some of the most interesting world-building, in my opinion, was the quick glimpses of locations where the storms are not so strong. Stormlight was such a central part of the story of the viewpoint characters, but we already know that it's hardly relevant to the whole world. Or is it? ;-) Can't wait to find out!
