Tracey Does anyone know if theres some secret code to type in for free books on Amazon?
Ideally i like true british crime, biography and british chick lit.. all i seem to see on free ones apart from one i found by accident this evening, are historical novels which i'm not really into.
I am new to Kindle so please bear with me... i do want to stick to Amazon though so please don't tell me about other places to get them as i have read about those already.

thanks so much x

Brandon | 82 comments I don't know of any promo codes unfortunately. However ereaderiq.com has a list of free amazon books. Amazon also has it listed on their website (sorry don't remember exactly where). Also in the kindle dicussion forums on amazon typically someone posts a daily notice of new free books.

Gill (lockwdg) | 49 comments Yes I just received my first email too and it linked to Amazon.com and not Amazon.uk. However I looked the book on Amazon.uk and it was also free on there too.

Jeff | 33 comments There's a link on the left hand side of the Kindle Store on Amazon.com called Free eBook Collections. There are two links off that page, one for Limited Time free eBooks and one for Classics. The Limited time link will show you all free books regardless of genre.

The eReaderiq emails let you know in what regions the free books are available. I'm not sure if when you sign up it's already keyed to your region or not.

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 109 comments Try searching for "free kindle books" in the Amazon.uk search bar. On the US site it brings you to a page which says something like "click for our collections of free public domain and limited time promotional offers. ) You may have something similar. For US users the page looks like this:
http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_...

Just scroll down a bit and click the link for "limited time promotional offers"
Read the book descriptions or go crazy and download all of them. I am sure the UK site would have something similar. You could also navigate the US site then see if the book is available for the UK. Be cautious though as many of these are erotica or Christian fiction (which most people either like or hate for both) I have found many first in series books this way and I even got the first 2 books of one series for free. Just check regularly. Also the best sellers list will usually be loaded with free titles. :) HTH
