Tie between Last Unicorn/Gaslight Dogs/ I Shall Wear Midnight/Dreadful Skin.
I can't chose between the four.
What was the best science fiction book you read in 2010? The Wind-Up Girl
Best any-other-genre-that's-not-SF-or-fantasy book?
A Novel Bookstore or The Tiger
Best new book (meaning, actually published in 2010)?
I Shall Wear Midnight or The Tiger
Best debut novel?
Dogshead. It was published in 2005 but it was his first novel
Best short story collection or anthology?
My Mother, She killed Me, My Father He Ate ME
Best short story?
Bluebeard in Ireland by John Updike
What was your favorite Beyond Reality "Book of the Month" in 2010?
Last Unicorn tied with The Gaslight Dogs
Who's the best author you discovered this year?
Jim Hines tied with Cherie Priest
Best SF&F-related website or blog?
Surlalunefairytales.com
Best SF&F movie?
Don't have one for this year, but I loved Robin Hood
TV show?
Don't have one. I find most tv shows to be irksome. I will say, however, that I got the complete Farscape for my birthday earlier this year.
Any other "best of 2010" category, not necessarily literature-related, you'd like to list?
Best filk song - "The Jedi Drinking Song" tied with "Do Virgins taste Better".
Mumford and Sons is the best new group I've heard.

Well, I've got a few more still to read, but I'm just about positive nothing will overtake Catherynne Valente's two-volumes of The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden & In the Cities of Coin and Spice
What was the best science fiction book you read in 2010?
That's tougher; I've read some great SF, but none of it was quite as perfect as The Orphan's Tales (for me). Most surprisingly fantastic was Scott Westerfeld's two-volume Succession: The Risen Empire & The Killing of Worlds; but I also read Octavia E. Butler's Wild Seed this year.
Best any-other-genre-that's-not-SF-or-fantasy book?
I couldn't resist rereading Georgette Heyer's A Civil Contract, which I liked even better the second time around; if rereads don't count then probably Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita
Best new book (meaning, actually published in 2010)?
Wow, I actually read ten of them this year! Best was definitely Elizabeth Bear's Subterranean Press published novella Bone and Jewel Creatures; if novellas don't count, then probably Kage Baker's The Bird of the River
Best debut novel?
Published this year, or just read this year? If it's published this year then it's definitely N. K. Jemisin's The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. . . if it's just in general then Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell edges it out.
Best short story collection or anthology?
The only one I read this year was To Weave a Web of Magic which was just okay -- loved the McKillip story, but nothing else stood out.
Best short story?
I guess that would have to be the McKillip story! "The Gorgon in the Cupboard," by Patricia McKillip.
What was your favorite Beyond Reality "Book of the Month" in 2010?
Probably Light, by M. John Harrison, but I only read it and Little, Big, so it's a small sample size.
Who's the best author you discovered this year?
So many! But I guess I'll go with Catherynne M. Valente because she had the book of the year for me and I also really enjoyed Palimpsest.
Best SF&F-related website or blog?
Ummm. . . I started reading Tor.com this year and it's been pretty fun. . . but mostly I just read author blogs. I've spent the most time on Elizabeth Bear's and John Scalzi's.
Best SF&F movie?
Inception, but the ending knocked it further down my top five of the year than it would have been.
TV show?
Ummm. . . I guess either Chuck or Warehouse 13 are the only shows I like with SF/F content. . . but my favorite show at the moment is Criminal Minds.
Any other "best of 2010" category, not necessarily literature-related, you'd like to list?
Nope. :)

What was the best fantasy book you read in 2010?
Havemercy by Jaida Jones
I LOVED this book. I couldn’t put it down, the characters spoke to me and I became involved in their stories and really cared about what happened to them.
What was the best science fiction book you read in 2010?
A tie. Primary Inversion was the best SF novel and Chimerascope was the best anthology. I love Catherine Asaro’s books, particularly the Skolian Empire series and I couldn’t believe this was her debut novel. I’m also a huge fan of Douglas Smith’s short stories, they are always so ‘complete’.
Best any-other-genre-that's-not-SF-or-fantasy book?
The Witch of Cologne by Tobsha Learner. It read beautifully and it made me cry. (That’s a good thing!)
Best new book (meaning, actually published in 2010)?
Children No More, Mark L. Van Name. Fourth book in the Jon and Lobo series. A really, really good book.
Best debut novel?
Primary Inversion
Best short story collection or anthology?
Chimerascope
Best short story?
Going Harvey in the Big House (Chimerascope).
What was your favorite Beyond Reality "Book of the Month" in 2010?
*embarrassed flush* Eeek, I’ve been so slack in my participation this year. I got distracted (by my 550k words). I'm really enjoying Saturn's Children. It's hysterically funny in places and so well written. I really want to get stuck into Janny’s series too. (It’s on my Christmas list!)
Who's the best author you discovered this year?
Tobsha Learner is the only new author I read this year and it took me a while to warm to her style. I read Soul first and I had such mixed feelings the whole way through, yet still couldn’t put it down. The Witch of Cologne sucked me in quickly and I’ve already ordered a copy of her third novel, Sphinx.
Best SF&F-related website or blog?
SFCrowsnest. Not just because I write for it, but because it tends to be my ‘go-to’ place for current reviews.
Best SF&F movie?
Robin Hood (Russell Crowe). I loved the interpretation of the story and even if you’d never heard of Robin Hood, the movie told a thrilling tale. And it has Russell Crowe.
TV show?
Dexter. :)

What was the best science fiction book you read in 2010? – Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang by Kate Wilhelm
Best any-other-genre-that's-not-SF-or-fantasy book? – a tie between:
The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway and
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind
Best new book (meaning, actually published in 2010)? –
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Best debut novel? - I don't think I read any debuts this year. I have a couple of 2010 debuts queued up to read at the first of 2011.
Best short story collection or anthology? – Magic for Beginners by Kelly Link (I read this for the first time in 2010, although it was published in 2006. If we are talking “best ever”, as opposed to “best you read this year”, my answer would be different. I don’t think I read a collection actually published this year. )
Best short story? – I’ve read too many this year to choose!
What was your favorite Beyond Reality "Book of the Month" in 2010? – Bridge of Birds: A Novel of an Ancient China That Never Was by Barry Hughart (I’ve excluded those I’ve chosen for other categories in this questionnaire, in the interest of “awarding” other books I loved.)
Who's the best author you discovered this year? - Steven Galloway, mentioned above (not SF/F)
Best SF&F-related website or blog? – I can’t narrow it down to just one, so I’ll do categories:
• Big SF/F sites:
Tor.com
i09
• Multiple author/critic reviews sites –
Fantasyliterature.com
Fantasy Book Critic
Fantasy Book Review
SFSignal.com
SFSite.com
• Small or single-person SF/F blogs:
The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf & Book Review
Sci-Fi Fan Letter
Fantasy Cafe
Best SF&F movie? – I don’t think I saw any in the theater this year; I tend to Netflix my movies. But my favorite SF/F movies I’ve seen this year are:
• Jade Satouri, aka Jade Warrior - a Finnish/Chinese production that involves the Kalevala and a lot of back-and-forth in time. Wikipedia article / Trailer at YouTube
• Time Crimes - aka Los Cronocrímenes - a really innovative Spanish time travel film that Hollywood is about to mutilate by re-making... This movie messed with my head – something movies are almost never able to do. (Wikipedia is spoiler-tastic, so I won't link it for this movie.) Trailer at Youtube
(If you find this interesting, do not, I repeat DO NOT seek out and watch the US trailer, which is all you will find if you search for “Time Crimes trailer” just about anywhere! It spells out – literally - the twists and completely SPOILS the movie. The trailer I link here is the original Spanish trailer with English subtitles, which does not spoil anything. Stupid US marketers spoon-feeding the viewer and ruining any bit of mystery, grr...)
TV show? - Fringe. I don’t watch television in general, but I do stream this show online when the most recent episodes go up. I love it. (I do the same currently with Warehouse 13, although I don’t love it as much. It’s just fun.)
• Edit to add: Other peoples' responses reminded me of Lost! I forgot it was still on in 2010; I don't know why, but I thought it ended in 2009. I was a huge Lost fan, and although I see what a lot of folks are getting at when they express displeasure with the final season, I thought it was very well done. So...*Best of the year: probably Lost, as the finaale was a special event to fans. *Best currently watching: Fringe. ;)

Isn't out yet but will probably be this year's Robot Chicken Star Wars special.

That would have to be a tie between Carol Berg's Breath and Bone and Andrzej Sapkowski's Blood of Elves. The second was odd. It seemed a little awkward, but was overall extremely compelling. I hope the rest of the books get translated.
What was the best science fiction book you read in 2010?
I didn't end up reading much SF this year, and the ones I did were rereads so I don't think I can honestly give a good answer here.
Best any-other-genre-that's-not-SF-or-fantasy book?
