I was pretty disappointed actually. I think I thought it would go deeper into the relationship between pearl and Willow and while that was discussed it seemed superficial. The second half was lots of politics and history...kinda dry overall.

You have been reading a lot of books I have been wondering about. :) I got Brooklyn and I have been seeing Love you More and Sing you Home and trying to decide whether to get them (as if I had nothingelse to read) but never sure. How were they?

Well, I am a totally Jodi lover and we have a book store nearby that has a Jodi event each year for the past few years so I always buy a copy of hers. (Haven't been disappointed yet!) Love you More was typical Lisa Gardner and really enjoyable. Brooklyn was a really great book , too but I am glad that I got it from the library rather than buying it. I'm trying to cut back on my actual "book buying"....:(
All three are definitely worth reading!

And thank you for the comment, I will start with the one I have and then will get the other 2 :) never tried Lisa Gardner before but keep seeing her books lately and liking the synopsis about them.
I wish I could read what I have for a year and not buy or borrow anything! Maybe I could make a dent in the piles I have...lol

48) The Exile:An Outlander Graphic Novel~Diana Gabaldon
Lori, what did you think of the Sugar Queen? I really like SAA! She reminds me a little of Alice Hoffman.

You should really try Alice Hoffman then! She writes with that touch of mystical jazz as well. In some books it is a a touch and in others it can be a little on the heavy side but still fun.
I read the Sugar Queen first and loved it! Then I read Garden Spells and the next one and really like them as well, Sugar Queen was a little better though.

I love Alice Hoffman. I actually think I have read everything by her. Her storys are full of whimsy and charm. She tells a great story without being too outlandish.

What did you think of Wild Rose? I loved the first book, have the second to read here somewhere.

I LOVED the Tea Rose and Winter Rose. Wild Rose was also really good but not quite the same. I gave it four stars , though. i think if I had read them back to back, instead of waiting years in between, it might have helped me get a grip on the characters earlier. At the beginning, I had a bit of a hard time trying to remember who was who but all in all a really good book :)

Done, and congrats!

77) Blood Brothers~Nora Roberts
78) Very Valentine`Adriana Triggiani
79)Belong to Me~Melissa de los Santos
80)The Hollow~Nora Roberts
I wish Adriana Triggiani had a new one out, I could really go for curling up with one of her books today.

I'm loving these and I just discovered her so I think I have a few to go. I listened to Very Valentine and the got Brava valentine for my car rides...I spend a lot of time on the road and she really makes it pass. It's kind of like My Big Fat Greek Wedding but with Italians!
