As I read this book really began to grow on me...to me Kent Haruf just has a way of developing these characters which who remind you of someone you know or have met...The book started a little slow for me but by the end I couldn't put it down...

Bob | 176 comments 32. The Eight by Katherine Neville The Eight by Katherine Neville

4 1/2 Stars (**** 1/2)

Almost a month since I posted my last book and this was worth the time and effort...The further I got in this book the more I wanted it...I love the dual time periods and every time the author switched to the other it was very smooth and fluid and the story lines were evenly matched...one of my favorites this year so far...

5 Stars (*****)

Although golf is the underlying subject in this book there are so many other things which strike home...reading it made me appreciate the time Ive had with the ones who are most important to me, but more than that it's made me excited about the time I have left with the ones I love...
