Ann (annrumsey) | 16924 comments Top 5 Best Series
This was really hard to cull down too! Most of my top MT books were favorite series books.
We are unlikely to have more Larsson books and it appears Dennis Lehane may have closed out his P&A series but the rest of them are going strong! Each new book is eagerly anticipated and usually greatly adds to my enjoyment of the series!
Stieg Larsson - the trilogy
Dana Stabenow - Kate Shugak
Jacqueline Winspear - Maisie Dobbs
Karin Slaughter - Grant County
Laurie R. King - Mary Russell
Sara Paretsky - V.I. Warshawski
S.J. Rozan - Bill Smith/Lydia Chin
Marcia Muller - Sharon McCone
Dennis Lehane - Patrick and Angie

Carol,
I didn't think to add Lisbeth and Mykael but they are awesome characters, aren't they? Finished the second book last night and had to immediately download the third on my Kindle. Love it when a book has that kind of pull. I like Jonathan Stride too, but Serena, not so much for some reason.

message 22: by Carol/Bonadie (new)

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9483 comments Dawn, I just finished The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and it was a wild ride. I'm going to miss those two.

Serena and Jonathan have both grown on me. I like them as a couple and I like how they are each usually involved in the mystery at hand from different angles. I am looking forward to the next one.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16924 comments Carol: I know exactly what you mean, I was sorry to not have another Larsson book to read next after TGWKTHN - I could hardly "put it down" as I listened to the audio near the end.
Dawn - enjoy book three!!

Nancy (Nanlanc) | 77 comments I too enjoy the SHerlock and Savich books by Catherine Coulter, however guess was the second to the last or the last one I read of these, with the kid that could see them and talk to them with the awful relatives creeped me out big time, kept reading it but was so creepy and I did not enjoy it. BarryP (barrypz) | 3498 comments nuts would be correct. its like they cannot tell the difference between what is important and what is not.

message 29: by Donnajo (new)

Donnajo | 4351 comments Nancy, I know what you mean with the Savich and Sherlock books I just got a notice on facebook the newest one will be out in June. So I have until then to read the ones I still have too to get caught up. There isn't that many that have the woo woo factor. I just said that to my sister the last time I saw her when I was starting the Double take. I'm trying to say something without giving anything away. But you might only have 2 maybe 3 of the books because of that reason. And believe me I'm not into reading books like that either. But I'm doing this series with my sister. I can't remember which of the ones you are talking about but I read the last one out of order in a weekend down the shore so now I have double take and until the last one to catch up and read yet. That is the reason I had reading out of order trying to get the back ones done which I own already. i think the one you are talking about before doube take. Not one of my favorite ones. I would say if you enjoyed them don't go back to the one you gave up on give a try to the next one from that.
