Ok...did anyone see the extended preview trailer of Twilight at the beginning of The Dark Knight?

There is a small scene that comments about not wanting Bella to go into the woods because there have been reports of people being killed by large animals. Maybe I'm crazy, but isn't that a scene straight from New Moon? How can that be in the movie Twilight if it is only supposed to cover the book Twilight?

Anyone have any ideas about this? Is the movie covering more than one book?

What I think it was referring to was the vampire coven of James, Victoria and Laurent... But I agree, that comment sounds more like it came from New Moon.

This thread has NOTHING to do with Breaking Dawn....this thread has to do with the Twilight movie which is supposed to cover the Twilight book only.

I had this same question until I reread new moon and they do mention that animals are killing people, but it isn't the werewolves it is the vampires - so I am guessing it is James' coven and not going into new moon. But I'm not 100 percent on that

Well they can't really make a movie out of New Moon. Not enough happens, it's way too boring. So I wouldn't be surprised if they covered both Twilight and New Moon in order to make the book series into a movie series. It makes the most sense to combine Twilight and New Moon rather than New Moon and Eclipse. There would be way too much to cover if New Moon and Eclipse were put together.

Actually there is a lot that goes on in New Moon and since they will have to shorten it to make a movie anyways I think it will be pretty good. They can stick to the key points. Like Jasper almost biting Bella, Edward leaving, Jacobs transformation into a wolf (i'm sure they could cut down the whole, Bella is miserable forever thing) and then Alice's vision and then Italy, it would actually be full of action and you can't make the 3rd movie without the 2nd!! lol :)

I suppose you're right Alexis. I think I forgot all of the action because the whole Bella being sad thing was such a big part of the book. :)

Lol true true, I have to admit though that before I even read New Moon I went and looked at the reviews on barnesandnoble.com and I KNEW that Edward was leaving!! (It was stupid I know, I didn't expect people to type a whole summary of the book right in their review!!) So I knew Edward left and Jacob and Bella became close so I wasn't so taken off guard and surprised when I read New Moon. That's probably why I was able to enjoy it more because I wasn't taken by surprise and I knew (even though I didn't read it anywhere) that Edward would come back in the end :)

I was extremely suprised in New Moon but I loved it anyway! I also loved Eclipse and Twilight and Breaking Dawn. DUH

I was definitely caught off guard. My problem was that my older sister brought New Moon home from work for me and I didn't know that Twilight came before it. I got to the part where he left and was still totally shattered on Bella's behalf even though I didn't know the story leading up to it. Right after that I realized that right on the cover it said it was the sequel to Twilight (obviously I'm very observant). So the whole time I was reading Twilight, I just kept thinking "WHY IN THE HECK WOULD HE LEAVE HER!?!?!?!?"

I guess nothing was technically ruined for me, but the whole time I was reading Twilight, I knew what was coming so it sort of seemed like it was.

It would have really sucked if I had read New Moon or Eclipse first (which i wouldn't have been able to read Eclipse without being thoroughly confused and disappointed because I wouldn't have known what lead up to it) because Twilight is what captured my interest and made me fall in love with the series to begin with!

Just FYI - They are making New Moon into a movie, It's actually in the developmental phase and is supposed to be released in 2010.

heck yes!! how exciting. I doubt that they would age too much in 2 years to tell you the truth. They are all past their "teenage growing years" so I don't think we should see too much difference. Besides, it's a movie! They can just put makeup on anything that has changed lol

I know Janepage I was wondering about that too. I hope that they don't try to cram too much into Twilight fromt he other books as well. Maybe it could be her dream when she's in the woods by the beach and Jacob changes while Edward hols his hand out to her?? Remember?

ok, i only read the first post and in twilight edward says something along the lines of 'don't go into the woods alone, because i'm not always the most dangerous thing out there, i just finished rereading the book, trust me.

What I'm saying is that maybe Jacob will turn into a werewolf only in Bella's dream like in the book. I doubt they would make them werewolves in this movies especially if they're making the next 3 books into movies as well.

I know! Was'nt there black vamps in BD and they were still pretty pale, just not completely pale.

My mom is sooo obsessed with twilight it is SCARYYYY! well she said they were doing twilight and new moon in one movie and eclipse and breaking dawn in the second one

Oh, and I totally forgot about how Bella had that dream in the first book about Jacob changing and Edward holding his hand out. That is pretty awesome..wish I would've realized it earlier lol. I love foreshadowing.
