I joined our local library at Beccles so I can search their shelves for letters and I think if i get stuck the lady at the desk might help me out if I ask.
I went down my shelves on here and found that I have got a W Taken On Trust by Terry Waite (which is waiting on my bookcase and I found a Z on my shelves on GR The Book Thief by Markus Zusak by Markus Zusak which I am going to have to get.

message 25: by Nick 2E0NAQ (new)

Nick 2E0NAQ (nick196742) | 630 comments When into town on monday with mum, dad. My walking frame dragged me into Waterstones book shop, I tried with all my might to get out of the shop, the front wheel would jam-up every time I got near the door. In the I had to buy five books before my frame would let me out of waterstones book-shop.

I got,
Honour and sword by A. L. Berrigde, Dead Intent by Lynda La Plante, The Whisperers by John Connolly, Tick tock and 9th Judgement by James Patterson.

In the future I will not let my walking frame get the better off me and I hope its a WARNING to other walking frames uses to watch out that they can be very demanding at times.
:)

Susan Your W.F. does seen to be a bit demanding, but it also seems to have very good taste when it comes to shops!!

It is true Liz, I even tried to hold onto a lamp post from being gragged into Waterstones shop but I just could not keep a good grip on the lamp post. Would you believe it was starting to bend and coming out of the ground too so I thought it would be safer if I let go.
No worries Liz I didnt get hurt Lol I just gave in to the great strength of my walking frame.
Howewver in the ordeal I got five good books.
Tick Tock and 9th Jugdement by James Patterson, The Whisteres by John Connolly, Deadly Intent by Lynda La Plante and Honour and the Sword by A. L. Berrisge .

Yeah right Nick, you're just like me, we both can't stay out of that shop! It does not help that it is right in the middle of town either.

Nice one Nick.....lol. Previously I always thought that WWF was a dreadful form of TV entertainment that involves muscled oafs. Now I know it must stand for Wilful(or perhaps Wandering) Walking Frame.

I would dearly love a book/coffee shop to open here, would be there every day. One thing I do hate, and forgive me if I offend someone, and that is screaming kids in the cafe when I just want to sit quietly and drink a nice coffee and read for an hour or two.

In complete agreement with you there Lynne, thankfully our new central library has the kids bit completely separate so no noise there and there are vending machine and armchairs, so nice comfy seat, tea and some biccies and god knows how many books on hand ready and waiting...heaven ;-D

I was at the footie last night and there was a minute's silence for the 22nd anniversary of Hillsborough. Impeccably observed by 44,000 people except for a screaming baby 3 rows behind me. I mean, why would you take a baby to a football match anyway and particularly a night game that ends at 10pm......grrr

message 46: by Em (new)

Em (emmap) | 2707 comments As another Mum, I am excellent at zoning out screaming kids!!

Mine are a bit too old for screaming now, more likely they'll be reading Ruby the Red Fairy (Rainbow Magic, #1) by Daisy Meadows or Amber The Orange Fairy (Rainbow Magic, #2) by Daisy Meadows and eating croissants...

I have yet to learn how to zone out recorder practice though! Any hints...
