I finished writing another chapter of Enigmatic Heroes. I successfully posted it to inkpop.com....(I am sooo addicted to that site. It is a great place to get reviews on your writing, advice, feedback, anything you need is there.) which I need to post here. :)
Progress of Week 2 of 2011:
Finished writing a short story for a contest on inkpop.com. I titled it The Lemon Curveball. I love this one! It's simple, kind of cliche, but I'm a sucker for cliche things.
I also decided that I'm going to enter "Fyre" in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award and see how far it gets just for fun. :)
I find it really funny that I'm accomplishing more of my 2010 goals now, than I did last year. haha.

Here's the second-to-last chapter of part 1 of Merchandise, and the second-to-last chapter that I'll probably be posting.

Good luck with all your writing goals! I'm entering ABNA again too. Seems like a bunch of people in this group are entering. :]

Let's see, is this the third week?
Guess it is.
Progress of Week 3 of 2011:
Let's see. . . . I started looking through Sparx, trying to see what I could do to make it work, and I think I'm getting through it with somewhat of an outline. I'll probably start working on Fyre soon, maybe take a glance at it maybe re-write it idk. I've got some ideas for what I should do with Enigmatic Heroes, but I haven't exactly gotten anywhere with them. Sooo, I'll probably update this later. . . .

I hope you enjoy reading it!
I know what you mean about having ideas but not going anywhere with them. Sometimes a million ideas will hit me, but after I think for a while, they stop making sense or I forget them :)

I'm writing more of Enigmatic Heroes! Hallelujah! But school is so stressful right now, I don't think I'm going to be able to do much until the end of March. *sigh*.
And it doesn't help when inkpop is down for maintenance!
grr.

Oh my.
Entering ABNA is nerve-wracking. lol :)"
Eeek, tell me about it. I keep editing and re-editing over and over. I'm convinced I made a mistake somewhere...

I had my teacher go through and read my pitch. Then he got sick and hasn't given it back yet. I'm worried I'll be out of time by the time he gets it back to me. :(

Good Luck!
Xanthus: Oh. My. Gosh. There are too many words are all those really desiderata?
Matho: no..she'll probably elide a few.

Oh jeez, I still have to post them here??? Or how about you just CLICK THE LINK AND READ IT HERE!
Sorry, I'm just a little too lazy to go in and make so many changes and edit, and such....so the more updated version is at this link.
Like, I really made a lot of changes to the story posted on this link, so the story on goodreads is majorly outdated...if you're still interested in reading, click the link, if not, that's fine. Go retire to your cubi.

My mind's a little scattered right now, and so is my writing. I can tell. This story's going to need a major edit once I'm through.
Oh.
My.
Gosh.
ABNA Round two is announced tomorrow. I'm so flippin' nervous.

Publishing companies will hate me (if I ever get published and have to write on a deadline.)

I have 4 more chapters of Enigmatic Heroes to write, and then I'm done.
I think I've written at least 20,000 to 30,000 words since I last posted. haha :)
I'm on a ROLE baby!

Part II Ch11
Part II Ch15

Part II Ch15 "
I'll read when I've got time. :)
Geez, it's been a while since I've been here . . .
Enigmatic Heroes . . . editing sucks.
*disappears again*

I just spent the last hour looking through books to add to my library. I think they might freak out when I show up with the list of books I want them to get . . teehee. :)
So, I'm feeling like showing my covers for Enigmatic Heroes all of a sudden. I'll post them below . . . :)
Anyways . . . yeah, I have been writing. More editing right now, and it's killing me. Haha.
Tried to work on Sparx last night, and I about died. I couldn't even get a prologue together. The sad thing is, I can see everything happening in my head, I just can't find the right words to put down. Because when I write it, it has to be perfect, or else I'm going to have to rewrite the whole thing over again. *sigh* Why am I so OCD about this book?!
I'm dying here!

I really like the first few Enigmatic Heroes covers."
Thanks :)

How has your writing been going? Have you started anything new lately?

I've mostly been editing right now, and trying to figure out life at the same time. :) This summer's been like something out of a Sarah Dessen novel, and it just keeps getting better. :)
Yeah, I'll take a look when I've got time.

No problem, you can read it whenever.

So, last thursday I typed up a query letter, and sent it off to six agents. Still waiting for some feedback . . . if I ever get any.

So update on my accomplished goals for the year:
I somewhat got #1. I finished at the beginning of April.
#2 I did enter The Amazon (longname) contest, but didn't make it past the first round. That's okay though. It just means that my first book sucked! Yipee!!
#3 I think I've got an idea of the plot holes, and figured out a major theme for Sparx, but I have made no headway on it quite yet.
#4 In order to meet this goal, I am considering to write the novel during NaNoWriMo. It'll be about my tenth time scrapping everything and starting over for this series . . . I just can't get it right!
#5 Yet to be completed . . . (I might not even do it.)
#6 Um . . . a page a week? When did I come up with this?!
#7 I wrote a fantabulous short story in January. It's making some headway on inkpop . . . so boo ya!
#8 Oh . . . I am sooooo edited out. Summer's over (I started school today) and I feel like it's going to be a busy year. I got into a creative writing class (hallelujah) but I pretty much hate every person in the class. Which sucks. Oh well! Yes, number 8 is complete!!!
#9 Half done. I've got a query and I've messed around with it a little. It still needs some work. The synopsis I'm trying to avoid because I suck at them. I don't have a clue how to summarize important parts of my story onto one page. In my head it just screams IMPOSSIBLE!
#10 Agent scavenger hunts suck. . . .
#11 I spent 3/4 of my summer on the computer. This is officially dead.
So, that's my goals updated 8 months into the year. :/ Not looking so good.

This group DIED.
Well, I unfortunately have my goals for 2012 already.
I'm going to write 5 books next year.

Dang 5 books! It took me over a year just to write 1 o.O
So, I'm going to try to write a lot in 2012. So these are the goals that I've come up with.
Goal #1: Finish Sparx by Spring Equinox
Goal #2: Enter Enigmatic Heroes in Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest and hope and pray it gets past the first round.
Goal #3: Write Shady Pandemonium
Goal #4: Write Knights and Daes
Goal #5: Write 16,000,000 (And Counting)
Goal #6: Write To Stand in the Pouring Rain
Goal #7: Complete the "missing chapters" in Withering Utopia. (My NaNoWriMo novel of 2010)
Goal #8: Edit Sparx over the summer
Goal #9: Query for Enigmatic Heroes to as many people as possible. Get it out there and find someone to publish.
Goal #10: Have a really, really fun summer
Goal #11: Meet lots of new people, do lots of service.
Goal #12: Prepare for college. Yikes.
Those are my 12 goals for 2012.
Happy 2011 everybody!
