Beth (bethjustbeth) | 4 comments Okay...after reading 1-14, and being on the last Between the Numbers book, I think I might have just had an epiphany...anyone else thing Ranger might be an Unmentionable?

It would explain his ability to get into Steph's apartment, even with the slide bolt thrown (Diesel's the only other one who's gotten past hte slide bolt), and their recognition of one another, but keeping their distance?

Lula and Connie have mentioned several times that they think Ranger's a superhero, and Steph refers to him as "Batman." I wonder, I wonder...

Magpie67 | 78 comments He does seem to roll with the weird, wild and wacky easier than Morelli....

Hmmmm..... Good question!

Ranger or Diesel can do unmentionables things to me..... I will let them! :-D

I can see it coming...I really think she's setting that up, and last I read on the website, they're not planning any more Between the Numbers books.

Magpie67 | 78 comments oh drat on that news! Cause I think if Diesel is gone than Ranger could pick up on that slack and other wacky characters from the series like Sally.....etc. etc.

I know there has to be a connection between Diesel and Ranger.I will miss Diesel if its true that there won't be any more Between the Books with him. I hope somewhere down the line she will bring him in again. He is just so wacky and wonderful

That's a great epiphany. It really does work.

Beth (bethjustbeth) | 4 comments Becky...she's not planning on any more Between the Numbers books, but he has his own series:

I didn't know that. Thanks for the update Beth

Shastina Henderson (shastinahenderson) I had never thought about that!
But it really makes sense.
Whatever Ranger is, I wouldn't mind seeing him naked myself.

I could stand easily seeing both Ranger and Morelli naked. Oh..the men of my fantasies.

Krhaas | 6 comments What about the wicked series? Doesn't that feature diesel?

Beth said earlier there are two books that have Diesel in them. Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business.
I will read those after I am done with this series.

Krhaas | 6 comments I like the wicked series!

Crystal-Rain Love (crystalrainlove) | 29 comments I just finished Wicked Business and my mouth dropped when Diesel said he had a distant relative in New Jersey who drives a black Porsche. I know it has to be Ranger but I'm confused because I've read all the Plum books first and I'm pretty sure I remember her asking Ranger if he was related to Diesel and him saying no, Diesel was Swiss. And if he just means that Ranger is an Unmentionable then he'd be distantly related to Lizzy and all Unmentionables. Seems kinda weird. So... I don't know if she's just dropped this whole concept. She has issues with consistency. Ranger was like 5'10 at the start of the series. Now he's 6'. I think her mom's name changed from Ellen to Helen at some point. I'm not sure if Cal became Hal or those are two different Rangemen. This might be another one of those things she just changes.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments Crystal-Rain, I just finished Look Alive Twenty-Five and Wulf is a character. I think you are definitely on to something.

message 20: by Crystal-Rain (new)

Crystal-Rain Love (crystalrainlove) | 29 comments OMG!!!!! I can't wait to get it! I always buy them in paperback (I'm OCD and I have to have all my books in a series be of the same type so I only buy the paperbacks since that's what I started with so everything matches) so I'm waitlisted at the library in the meantime. #31 on the last as of a few minutes ago when I checked.

message 21: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments I was sooo lucky, my library got 34 e-books and I was #32. The first half was kinda slow and for the first time it just didn't "sound" like Janet Evanovich, but the second half was just like old times.

message 22: by Crystal-Rain (new)

Crystal-Rain Love (crystalrainlove) | 29 comments My library has 7 books, no ebooks. :( I am now #29 in line and yes I keep clicking to check my status. LOL! From the way it's been going down I can tell that at least some people are getting it and being kind enough to quickly read and return instead of keeping them out for long periods.

message 23: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments Yes, I always read and return as quickly as I can when it is a new book by a popular author. It's the polite thing to do. I am blessed to live in an area near Los Angeles and have access to three fantastic library systems all with extensive e-book collections.

message 24: by Crystal-Rain (new)

Crystal-Rain Love (crystalrainlove) | 29 comments I caved. I seemed to be staying at #29 on the library wait list so I bought the freaking hardback. LOL! I'll still buy the paperback and just pass this one to a friend when I'm done since my collection is paperbacks. Ugh, here I am in the middle of NaNoWriMo with my own freaking book to write and I'm dropping everything for this book. This is freaking addiction. :p

message 25: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments Yes, it is an addiction. I have it and I don't want to be cured!

message 26: by Crystal-Rain (new)

Crystal-Rain Love (crystalrainlove) | 29 comments I'm reading now. Ranger FINALLY showed up. Ugh. WE NEED MORE RANGER!!!!!

message 27: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 332 comments Ranger definitely has his share of "page time".
