I wonder what goes through their heads after they read it. Is it, “Well, I don’t think it would be proper to unlike it now”?
There are times when a dislike button is more than appropriate.
For example: this post of mine.

That kind of thing is awkward.

Actually a few days ago a well-liked Goodreads member passed away and her account was updated by her son to let her friends know. People pointed out they were liking the status just to spread the news - although of course no one LIKED the news.
