As soon as I decided to start writing fiction again, Alexis and Tristan just came to me. They didn't have names, but a lot of emotions and a heated conversation. Just playing around to entertain myself, I wrote what has become a pivotal scene in PURPOSE. Then I decided I really wanted to get to know these people.
I'd been thinking about angels and demons for years, but didn't have a story idea. And I'd been thinking about evil, supernatural characters being real and pissed off at all these authors for exposing their secrets. The ideas rushed in - just as sudden and massive as a tsunami - and I realized that woman in the scene that I was just playing around with was the writer AND a major player in the world of angels and demons. And it just spun out of control from there.
Thank you so much for reading!

Thank you for sharing!
You created such deeply emotional and complex characters that I was wondering where they came from. It had been a long time since I read a book that actually made me feel I knew the characters.
I can't wait for the next one in the series to come out!

Answers to FAQs:
Purpose, Book 2 in the Soul Savers Series, IS released.
Promise is written with a YA voice because Alexis narrates and she is 18. Purpose picks up when she's 27, so the entire series is not written like YA. In fact, Purpose has a very different tone and mood.
I won't answer questions about Tristan, his promise and whether he keeps it. Just go read Purpose. ;)
