Wait, if this is a discussion about breaking dawn, why are we using the letter r to abbriviate? Why not just say her name? After all, anyone who hasn't read breaking dawn who comes here, reads the posts, and is mad about any spoilers...well, it's there own fault. So why bother having secret code?

Are you KIDDING? Renesmee is the MOST original name you'll probably EVER hear!!!!! Meyer MADE it up HERSELF!!! How could it NOT be original if she made it up herself?????? How could it be more original than it already is?????

I think it's a really pretty name.

Nessie, however, THAT is an ugly name. I hate that name. It sounds like something you'd name your dog. Plus, it sounds like the Loch Ness Monster. I was SO mad when Bella started using it @ the end!!

Anyways...I guess I hate the nickname Nessie just because it gives me that weird gut feeling, you know, when you don't like something? Ergh. Stupid Jacob for coming up with the nickname, like Rachel said. Ugh. :P

i LOVE jacob. he is by far the best character because, unlike edward, he doesn't spoil bella into her thinking she is the best thing on the planet and that she gets whatever she wants. i know i'm going to be chewed up for this post, but jacob is my favorite character in hte sereies

idk, After Breaking Dawn, I just have more respect for Jacob, like I like him better than before.

OK, I have to say...
I can't finish the book. I think it's AWFUL.
All the characters seem flimsy and wimpy and it's just WEIRD.
Plus, Bella's twice as whiney as before, and that's saying something.
Edward has even more mood swings.
And it's just... AHHH.
I really, really, don't like this book.
One of my least favorite things is that beauty is so incredibly important. Beauty, making out, and sex. It's so frustrating. It's made me lose A LOT of respect for the series.

Cali, after I read the Jacob part, I did get more respect for him, and I actually started to like him (I hated him before), but when he imprinted on Renesmee, I was really mad at him and lost most of my respect. Then I realized that he didn't CHOOSE to imprint on her, and it wasn't his fault, and stuff, so I got used to him again. XD

Ahh, I love how everyone treats characters as if they are real people.

not to say that there's anything wrong with that of course. I do it too :P

LOL. You should have heard some of our lunch conversations. Kenzie can vouch for me on that one, as they were her characters. It was mostly Joan, with a little bit about Nathan, Lawrence, Svell, and Riane.

Oh, yeah...I remember that. All about the topic, talking to your characters. And then randomly, like that one time in Language Arts class when Lawrence had a party (where no one showed up) got drunk, and ended up running into a wall and knocking himself out...that was fairly annoying 'cause before he ran into the wall, he was singing. And he's not a good singer.

yeah, that part I hated but I noticed that in
Twilight: He was clueless
New Moon: He was a jerk
Eclipse: He was a jerk
Breaking Dawn: He matured, and he was a bit nicer, and could actually have respect for him.

A thought just occured to me a few minutes ago.

Bella's life before forks would make a pretty good realistic fiction story. If you think about the little bit of information that was provided, it might actually be interesting. Not at all fantasy though.

Yeah, personally, I would like to write Bella's after life, and what happens.
And I would really like to re-write Breaking Dawn, the way that most of us thought it would be.

Jacob was great in Breaking Dawn. I love how much he matured and changed. I used to hate him before; now I love him. :D I agree with what you said, Cali, about what Jacob was in each of the books.

Except I wouldn't want to re-write Breaking Dawn. I loved every detail and wouldn't change a thing. :D

Renesmee is an AWESOME name. I mean COME ON! It is a mix of both of her grandmothers' names! How original is that? I wished that Meyer told us a little bit more about Bella's life as a vampire and how Renesmee matured and all that.

Well, it was sort of a 'and they all lived happily ever after' without saying those exact words.

E.C, I agree, those were so funny! But it was the most hilarious when Jacob throws the food bowl at Rosalie and she says, "You. Got. Food. In. My. Hair." I was cracking up so much I had to set the book aside for a minute! XD

Yeah, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Renesmee. It's so pretty!! And it fits her perfectly. She's my favorite character now!! Sorry, Alice. You're only second now. ;)

Meyer did write a lot about Bella's vampire life, that was most of the book, wasn't it?

I loved that line! It was one of my favorite in the whole book!

And, just a question, how many of you predicted that Renesmee would be like a werewolf? I just KNEW it after carlisle said the thing about vampires having 25 chromosomes, humans having 23, and werewolves (though I should say shapeshifters) having 24. I mean, that was TOTALLY foreshadowing!

She's not a werewolf! She's a half-human half-vampire!
