Ben Luskin | 1 comments Hello everyone,

This is my first time on the site. I was directed here by my publisher as an avenue to promote my new book, Beyond the Horizon: Redefining Personal Potential after Brain Injury. Inspired by my experience as a TBI survivor, the book draws from personal experience, years of work with a variety of populations living with challenge, and traditions and cultures from across space and time. (Please visit my website, www.launchmentor.com to learn more about my background.) Written specifically for others living with trauma and brain injury and their loved ones, the material discussed may be found relevant by all. At this time, it is only available on Amazon Kindle, at: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047T7OP4. I invite any and all feedback. Thanks much for your time,

Ben

Carol Gignoux, M.Ed. (carolgignoux) | 1 comments Hello all,
I am new here as well, and am promoting my new book, The Asset: A.D.D my Ass!The brand new book authored, explores the ground-breaking concept that people diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit disorder) or ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) possess special, unique and often amazing abilities. The book, being released chapter by chapter, is an exploration of how people with ADD / ADHD are different, and how these differences are an asset, not a deficit to their loved ones, co-workers, and society as a whole. After all, inventors, scientists and famous artists such as Einstein, Picasso, John F. Kennedy, Leonardo da Vinci, and Mozart all have made global contributions to humanity. And all were diagnosed with ADD.

My website is http://TheAssetBook.com. I have published the first 5 chapters. I would love feedback, comments, opinions, etc. All comments are welcome!

Tania | 1 comments Leonardo da Vinci and Mozart and most (if not all) of the individuals you named were not diagnosed with ADD. To be diagnosed, you must be alive when you are assessed by a medical professional. And the notion of ADD/ADHD didn't even exist in their time, so no physician would have assessed them for it. Now they may have actually had ADD, but they definitely didn't have a diagnosis.

Trina Dixon | 7 comments Spot On :-)

Ʈʜэ MɐÐɲΣ§Ꭶ ᏊརƭᏲƗϞ (death_of_the_rebelz) A ranch tastes quite horrid, in case nobody actually knows.

Trina Dixon | 7 comments What is similar about the words "Alway" and "Never" ?? My answer: "They are the similar because they are both opposites" Learning disability Label giver: "You gave that too many thoughts"

Rahul Jha (rjha) | 1 comments Hi everyone, so great to see such an eclectic bunch of neurodivergents. I come from Nepal/India but now based in Switzerland. I have a combination of complex PTSD (undiagnosed), ADHD, and perceptual and auditory processing disorder (diagnosed) - and now I know why I have always struggled to connect with people even though I know many people superficially. My pronouns are he/him. Reading has proven to be quite difficult with my hyperactivity and white light sensitivity but I like to keep pushing my boundaries. Look forward to reading books on neurodivergence which are written by one of us.

Theresa Styles | 2 comments Hi, I was diagnosed with ADHD two and half years ago. I've joined this group to share a book I've recently published. It's called Success at Home with ADHD: Practical Organization Strategies to Make your Life Easier. The author's name is Harriet Winters. You can find it on Amazon in ebook and paperback. The plan is to get it in audio format, but it could take awhile - will need to move past the procrastination first!

Christopher Malmevik | 1 comments Hi everyone. I’ve gotten back into reading now that my ADHD is controlled with medication meditation and mindfulness. I like all genres of books but I’ve found great comfort in reading ones that address my condition whether in fictional characters or nonfiction books. I’m glad to find this group because I’d love to meet new people and share book ideas. I hope everyone is having a good 2024 so far.

Christopher

Lisa Burnett | 1 comments Hey there! I love to read but find my mind drifting off every once in awhile. I sometimes read 1/4 of a book, set it aside, and then find it months later. :)

I would love to get book recommendations about whether they are about ADHD or anything else interesting.

As for 2024, I am just trying to make it through January. I don't do to well without the light!
