I'm stealing this one from another group!

The point of this discussion is to get to know each other a little better. One person asks a question - the next person answers it and follows up with their own question. The questions can be as simple or complicated as you like and they can be, but don't have to be, book related. We are here to have fun, so try not to ask anything too personal that might make people uncomfortable.

There are only two rules.
1: You cannot ask a yes or no question. That is too easy and it doesn't get people talking.
2: Don't ask the same question twice.

Feel free to put your two cents in on previously asked questions along the way, as long as you continue to ask questions, do not repeat, and keep the game flowing. Hopefully we'll all get to know each other a little better and maybe make a couple new friends :)

I'll go first
TTPBM: What is your favorite movie?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

My favorite movie is...wow I have alot but I have to say Dawn of the Dead and Breakfast Club.

TTPBM:What is your favorite book you have read this year?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

You're going to make me choose one?! Oh man, this is hard. Umm...but I have to say Across the Universe. It was amazing and I can't wait for the sequel!

TTPBM: What is your favorite holiday and why?

message 4: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea | 6 comments All of them. Lol. But I guess I'm going to say Easter. I love the meaning of this particular holiday and I love the pastels and spring colors...it makes me feel warm (especially in all this cold). Plus I love dressing in really pretty, girly dresses. Haha.

TTPBM: Who is your inspiration/who do you look up to the most?

message 5: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicole_sheree) | 34 comments Oh, Geez.

Okay, kind of personal, but I don't mind.

My son is my inspiration. I want to do good and be successful for him, to give him all the things my parents couldn't since there were so many of us growing up.

TTPBM: If you could live any where is the world, where would it be?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

TTPBM: Do you have any bad habits?

message 7: by starryeyedjen (new)

ttpbm: what character in a book do you most relate to and why?

message 8: by Katie (new)

ttpbm: If you could have any career in the world besides your current one, what would it be?

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

message 12: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 01, 2011 07:20PM) (new)

TTPBM: If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would you choose and why?

message 13: by Tabitha (new)

Tabitha (selkie) | 2 comments Lady Jane Grey, she was a queen at 16 for 9 days before she was locked up in the Tower of London by Bloody Mary. She was very intelligent for a woman of her age but lived such a horrible life. I always have found her fascinating

TTPBM: What do you collect?

message 14: by M (new)

M B (mikbaer) To be honest, I don't collect anything. Perhaps I should.

TTPBM: Do you have a song that truly speaks to you? If so, how?

message 15: by lézengő reader (new)

lézengő reader (kergezerge) I haven't one such song and it would be so boring here to answer I collect books so I'd better go back to the question "If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or dead, who would you choose and why? "
Julia Balbilla! She was not only granddaughter of the king of Commagene, but - more interestingly for me - her maternal grandfather was the astrologer Balbillus, and probably she was an astrologer herself. She was also a poet and attendant of Empress Vibia Sabina.

In which historical age would you like to live?

message 16: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicole_sheree) | 34 comments I would have loved to live in the Elizabethan Era! I love the dresses from back then! Plus some many people I would have loved to meet.

ttpbm: what book could you just read over and over again?

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm...lets see...the only books I've ever read more than once are Graceling and Fire, but I could probably live off the Mortal Instruments if I had to! :)

TTPBM: What is your favorite dessert?

message 20: by lézengő reader (new)

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

TTPBM: If you could have any mythical animal as a pet, what would you choose and why?

message 28: by lézengő reader (new)

lézengő reader (kergezerge) A Tibetan snow lion. Er... why not. I would be a princess then, isn't it? ;)

What would be the magical weapon of your choice?

message 29: by Paula (new)

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 42 comments A crystal ball. I'm passive aggressive and would use this power to know my future and how to destroy my enemies not yet revealed to me.

When is the last time you wore a leather vest or hot pants?

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

TTPBM: How many pets do you have, and what are they?

TTPBM: If you could enter into any world from any book, whick 'bookworld' would you most want to live in? And I mean living in that world, not neccesarily with those characters...so you can't answer like this..."I would live in TMI world because Jace is there"

message 32: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 14, 2011 07:42PM) (new)

Bethany, you crack me up lol :) you're only mostly joking?

I would live in the Seven Realms world. I've always thought it would be cool to live in a fantasy world, and I love Seven Realms the most!

TTPBM: What is the worst class you've ever taken?

message 33: by Paula (new)

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 42 comments A lit class at a community college where the prof cussed like a sailor in order to "get us used to it in literature." I think TV and movies has done that sufficiently, that you very much. After two days, I had enough and transferred to a university with enlightened professors.

TTPBM: What was your first car?

message 34: by lézengő reader (new)

lézengő reader (kergezerge) Paula, I can't stop laughing. :D I think I would have got along with your prof quite well. :D
I never had a car and won't have any. My parents' first one was a Wartburg Turist. ;)

Would you be a warrior or a witch?

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

A witch, totally. Because they have awesome powers!

TTPBM: Who's your ideal fictional man/woman and why?

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Anything by Jace in the Mortal Instruments books. Or any corny line about true love in any book! It's hard to only pick one!

TTPBM: Do you have any pets, and if so, what are they?

message 38: by Paula (new)

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 42 comments No pets right now but I've been begging my hubby for a ball python like my protagonist owns in my novel. He won't have it.

Ttpbm: what kind of cell phone do you use? Do you like it?

message 39: by Claire (new)

Claire Merle (clairemerle) | 9 comments My husband keeps trying to pass off his old iphones on me to justify buying new ones. One of them gave up for dead almost straight away and I was without a phone for a few months. Now I've got a Nokia. Don't know anything more about it than that. I'm kind of wary of phones, especially iphones as their supposed to transmit all sorts of terrible wavelengths. (my husband thinks this is crazy.)

Ttpbm: If you could be anyone that is alive now for one day, who would you be?

message 40: by Bethany (new)

Bethany LOL!! I would be Christian Bale's wife....hahahahaaaa.

ttpbm: What is your dream car?

message 41: by Paula (new)

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 42 comments One of the things on my bucket list is a FLYING CAR! I have to drive/fly one before I die. Do you think it might come true?

ttpbm: What's the most unusual beverage you've had?

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I like to mix all the different kinds of soda at fast food restaurants. That always gives me unusual beverages hehe :)

TTPBM: What is your pet peeve?

message 43: by Paula (new)

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 42 comments Ha! One day when I was a kid I cleared the dinner table and poured all the left over drinks (tea, coke, water, etc.) into a huge glass to take to the kitchen. My dad came in from the summer heat and saw it sweating on the table, thinking it was his from dinner, and drank down the whole thing. We laughed at him when he found out what it was.
My pet peeve when I was a teacher was the pencil-tapping thing kids love to do. I never told them, though, cause then they'd do it just to drive me crazy. I even have a character in one of my novels doing it to irritate a girl he likes.

TTPBM: What is your fav fast food?

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha that's really funny Paula! I'm going to be a teacher so I'll keep that in mind. *Note to self-don't tell kids about pet peeves because then they will do it purposely*

Ohmygosh! In N Out is the best fast food restaurant ever! I'm super sorry for all you people who don't live in Southern California and don't have In N Outs. If you are ever here, make it a priority to stop at one! They have the best burgers and shakes!

TTPBM: What is your weird phobia?

message 45: by Bethany (new)

Bethany *cries* I'm one of the losers who goes without In N Out!! But i've totally had it twice since i've been in cali...before that, it had been like 6 yrs...so sad.

I don't think my phobia is all that weird, however my husband says it's irrational. But I am TERRIFIED of spiders! I even squealed when I watched the trailer for Rio...there's this part where he turns around and there's a spider on his back. Sad, I know.

TTPBM: Tell us about the weirdest dream you ever had.

Amy (DemonKittie) (demonkittie) | 340 comments I had a dream that a clown was following me trying to get me to buy his balloon animal and I kept explaining that I had no money. He said I could pay with smiles but he started pinching me and it was annoying. I woke up with a headache.

TTPBM: Tell us about your best birthday or Christmas gift.

message 47: by Charity (new)

Charity One year my mother passed down Grandma's sewing machine to me, it's a 1960s Brother sewing machine and with that Mom told me this little story about it being the only thing Grandma ever bought from a traveling salesman, and that to demo it he set up the machine and asked for a can lid, then he sewed right through it! The story which was full of little quiks Grandma had, was the best Christmas present I've ever had. My grandma had a stroke before I could know her, and had mentaly regressed to a child. By the time I remember her I was mental older then her, and she die not long after that. I've always wished to have meet her mental sound.

TTPBM: Whats your fav. color and why?

message 48: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) My favorite color changes on a regular basis, but I keep returning to red. It's very visceral and fierce-looking, which I really love :)

TTPBM: what is your opinion on fairy tale/legend retellings?

Amy (DemonKittie) (demonkittie) | 340 comments I love many of them, but not all of them. I like ones that keep the basics of the stories the same, but also make them different in a fun and unique way. I have read a few awful ones, so the good ones stand out really well for me.

TTPBM: What was the best book you read in the last year and what made it stand out to you?
