If this is the first time in a long time since you have read or talked about books with a child, tell us about your experience. Please make sure to note the title of the book you chose.
If you already talk about or read books with your children, share a favorite experience you had recently, a favorite book, or a book you can recommend for reading with children at a certain age. Please make sure to note the title of at least one book.
Sometimes the challenge in reading to children is finding the right time or place. What is the ideal setting for you and your family to read together? Is there any advice you can offer to new parents on getting started or finding time? Try to recommend the title of at least one book in your first comment.
Describe your first memory of entering a library as a child. Did you participate in a summer reading program when you were young? What are some of your fondest memories of going to the library or attending a library's storytime?
To receive credit for winning a prize, one of your options is to read with children or plan an activity that promotes literacy among children and teens. Use this forum to describe your efforts in this area. Or use this forum to talk to coworkers about important issues related to teen literacy.
